  • A. I was very disappointed by the sound quality. I purchased the $98 Vizio sound bar and it made all the difference. Before it sounded like the television was inside a tin can.

  • A. My set has good sound. I saw the other posts about poor sound, and don't understand why some people complained about theirs.

  • A. If you're expecting it to, it may. We were, thanks to some negative reviews, and it sounds a bit tinny. If you aren't looking for it, though, it should sound fine. Just don't expect home theater quality. If you want higher quality, get some decent speakers and hook them up.

  • A. I bought one of the E320VP sets for my dad, and just returned it today as the sound was so tinny and grates on the nerves. Ended up getting a Toshiba. I have heard that a lot of the LED TV's are getting complaints about speakers as they are so thin the speakers are just capable of producing quality sound. Absolutely no bass on this set. If you will be connecting to a sound system, you will be fine.

  • A. Thin LEDs are notorious for poor sound quality...just hook it up to a sound bar or home theater system and enjoy an awesome picture and sound to match

  • A. YES! Its horrible sound. But an inexpensive set of speakers will fix that. We paid $25 on a pair of computer speakers and it sounds great!

This is a product that is still in its prime, but seeing up and down pricing. If you can catch a pricing drop, you get a good deal. One feature I was really looking for was side mounted jacks. Since this would be wall mounted TV, I did not want to have to pull the TV away from the wall and move it all the time to hook up the camera (for watching pictures, Vids off the camera via HDMI), the computer (netflix via HDMI) and other hook-ups. This TV is one of the few in its price range with a full suite of connections on the back and side. I read a lot about the sounds, and it is not as bad as people make it out to be. Perhaps for a busy living room, I could see some issue. For the bedroom, even with the door open, the speakers are just fine. They are not full on speakers. This is a very thin TV and they give you a headphone/audio out of a couple types. If you want it to be your main TV expect to get external speakers but otherwise you should be fine. Try following these steps to make them sound at least a little bit better: 1. Menu 2. Audio 3. Audio Mode...Flat 4. SRS TRuSurround HD...Off 5. Equalizer Settings 6. Audio Mode...Flat 7. EQ Mode...Basic 8. Bass..increase to 70 9. Treble.. adjust over 50 as needed,

Great Picture But....

I purchased this T.V. as my first HD set and was generally pleased out the box. Maybe because this was first HD T.V. I was in awe. One thing bothered me from the start though was the sound quality and the fact I had no way to connect it to my outdated surround sound receiver. It does kind of sound like the sound is in a can and adjusting it doesn't help much. A theater system or a sound bar will solve that problem but out the box, not the best. Adjustment of the color settings, especially in vivid brings out the best in the picture quality, but motion blur is a pain sometimes when playing my Wii or watch fast paced sports. Also in some games, small dots appear on the screen when there is a lot of motion or light flickering. That being said I plan on exchanging this set for the 42 inch 1080p 120Hz version if I'm not too late. It'll cost an extra $260 but it would be worth the upgrade if you can afford it. It's a great set for the price being it's an LED/LCD T.V. but if you play a lot of games and watch sports get a 1080p 120Hz set if you can pull it.

we recently purchased the VIZIO LED/LCD HDTV E320VP.....for our daughter. it is very slim, crystal clear picture without having it hooked up through the cable comp. for the hdtv part that ur suppose to call and add on. it is so clear and the sound it awesome, perfect volume. its very high, and clear when u turn it up higher it is still clear, no buzzing or anything. i cant believe what a tv this is and we just have it hooked up to basic cable, nothing that we didnt have with our old tv, you know the ones from the 90's....this is so nice and so easy to operate and set up. my 4 yr old works it all by herself. very simple, and has a contrast ratio of 100,000:1 which is what u need to look for in a tv for picture quality and clearness......next time u tv shop find 2 tv's one with a 4,000 to 20,000 contrast ratio and than go check out one with a 100,000 ratio....hope this helps!

Ok so I did expect a little more coming from an LED TV. I should have been a little more cautious as Wal-Mart did not have a display available for me to demo the TV on the floor. They had a display of the 26" model that looked fantastic. I originally wanted to buy the Sony Bravia 32" or The LG 32" at roughly the same price, however this was the only one of the three that my Wal-Mart store still had in stock, so I figured I’d give it a try. It was a great buy for my bed room. The picture quality is amazing, although a lot of tweaking with the settings is needed at first out of the box, but it for sure meets my expectations. The sound quality leaves much to be desired; however it is fine for my bed room. I believe alot of the other reviews on here were a bit dramatic about the sound quality being as bad as they said, it will be sufficient for a smaller space. If I were to buy this for a living room or entertainment center, I would most certainly hook a surround sound system up to it. This TV is perfect for a bed room or smaller space. All in all, you can't beat the picture quality for the money paid, and that makes this a good buy. Additional note: Here is the website where I found the best picture settings for the TV, I tweaking the sharpness up to 7 instead of the suggested 0 and changed the Brightness up to around 60: http://forums.cnet.com/7723-19410_102-410430.html

After a fixed GREEN issues - Very Nice Unit!
1/25/2011

I purchased this unit to replace an old CRT in our master bedroom. I do not see a reason to go any larger or above a 32” 780p since it is not our primary TV. Over all this is a very nice unit for the price. Sound and Picture Quality is nice, but I had to do a lot of color adjusting on the Green Contrast. By default our Greens popped with color, but after adjusting the Green Contrast down to 42 from the default setting the yellows are now yellow and the greens now show of natural greens instead of Neon Green. Besides the green issue I had earlier the unit has worked perfectly and I would highly recommend, but with caution on making a few color adjustments.
