The VCF Dissolving Vaginal Contraceptive Film is a translucent square material which is easy to use. Its designed to be placed high in the vagina, as close as possible to the neck of the cervix. The VCF contraceptive film contains the active ingredient nonoxynol-9, which is an effective and widely used spermicide. After insertion, the film dissolves into an unnoticeable gel which exerts a powerful contraceptive effect, killing sperm on contact. The spermicide contraceptive film is safe to use and shows no hormonal side-effects. These contraceptive film stays active up to three hours after insertion and does not cause any running or staining of clothes.
