Rated 5 out of 5★ by granpapyscrapy Great grinder, can get any grind you want from barely cracked to powder. You cannot break this thing. 02/19/2012
Rated 2 out of 5★ by Darline50 Not what I expected Received the grinder yesterday. Put handle on and coffee in and spent 15 minutes grinding to get 2 tsps of coffee. Took it apart and learned factory set up was incorrect. It now grinds at multiple levels of coarseness but is still very slow. Will go back to my failing electric grinder for coffee and use this for spices. The collection box is very flimsy and looks like it will break easily. Definitely not worth the price paid 01/25/2013
Rated 2 out of 5★ by Jetwife This does not work. It looks nice a little smaller than I thought. I have a 75 year old coffee grinder and it works much better. I bought this one because we like to grind our own coffee and I do not care for the electric grinders and this goes with my coffee theme. I will try to find the box and papers and send it back. The two stars were for the look of it. 02/06/2013
Rated 2 out of 5★ by JimmyN Unbreakable. Will never 'stop working'; there is no motor or electronics. It has shortcomings, however. It came with the internal parts coated with grease, probably to prevent rust, but the coffee sticks to the grease and if you grind peppercorns, for example, you end up with a mix of pepper and coffee. I took it apart, scrubbed the metal pieces in hot soapy water, dried the parts and reassembled it, but the coffee still sticks to the grinding wheel. I am going to try cleaning it with compressed air. The wood drawer is rough and unfinished; the coffee sticks to that, too. I intend to put a coat of urethane on it, but for now I use a small cardboard box instead. To be fair, these cleaning issues wouldn't be a problem if I just stuck with grinding coffee, and might be a problem with other grinders, too, but I don't have any experience with others. Maybe when I switch to grinding something else, I just need to grind a small amount to 'clean' the wheel, and then discard it... 02/09/2013
