Great for protecting flooring from embers or spark We just installed new carpeting this summer and didn't want burn marks like our old carpeting had. We use a wood burning stove and there is inevitably going to be embers or sparks shooting out when loading the wood. This rug goes great with our carpeting and is large enough to catch embers. It is also thicker than I would have thought. Seems to be quality made. These hearth rugs are expensive on other websites. Walmart was reasonably priced and I can trust Walmart to deliver. 12/31/2011
