range under 1 mile From building to building the range was under 1 mile. From inside a building to another radio operating outside, range didnt improve. We have tried several of these type of radios and these were no better or worse than others. We returned them to a Wal Mart retail location. I cant recommend. Go with a cheaper model as there is no difference in performance. 03/02/2011
