I drive to my mom's house and on errands during my lunch break in high sand, dirt, and sometimes glassy areas. I kept getting slow leaks because of that, so I bought this product to get me from point A to point B to test if it would work. All I have to say is I haven't had a problem with flats since I bought it; it is an amazing product that I would suggest to anyone as a backup in case you're out in no man's land and get a flat--it will definitely get you back to your destination and more!!!

My wheelbarrow tire was leaking slowly and would deflate over an hour or so. I used this tire sealer once and the tire has stayed inflated all summer. I now carry one of these inflation / sealer tanks on all my bike rides.

I bought the Tire Inflater last summer and kept it in my bike storage bag. Over the July 4th weekend, I was taking part in a 25 mile bike tour. Five mins before start someone behind me alerted me that my rear tire was completely flat. I looked down and sure enough it was. I didn't have time to repair it so I moved to the side, took out the Tire Inflater and proceeded to inflate the tire. It filled the tire and I checked for leaks. No leaks. I took my place back in the pack and continued the run without a problem. I checked the tire every chance I had and the Tire Inflater seemed to seal the tire. I finished the bike run without the tire going flat. I will get 2 more cans and keep them in my bag.

I just tried using this per instructions on can and none went in tire. It does not say you have to remove the core piece from valve stem but I know with the Slime you do.

    • No you don't. I know what you mean, I expected to have to do so as well [the Slime bottles have a cap that also works as a valve core removal tool], but this was not required at all. The only thing that you have to do is to remove the yellow plastic "flag" [or tab] on the side of the can's nozzle. Then you press it onto the Shrader valve on your bike, lift a tab on the top of the can, and press the trigger to fire the contents into the tube. My flat tire aired up in under a minute. When the can was cold and the solution was no longer moving through the tube, I released the trigger and removed the nozzle and proceeded to ride the bike around for ten minutes to ensure the product was evenly distributed within the tire tube. Works great! If you got all the product all over the tire instead of inside of it, I would suggest that you probably either didn't remove the little yellow tab [the instructions on the can don't mention it] or you have a Presta valve instead of a Shrader valve.

    • No, you do not need to remove the core piece with this product. You just need to twist the little yellow piece off that holds the black piece into place. After that, push the yellow piece down on the valve as much as possible (very important), them slide the black piece down over it. When I first used it, it swirted outside of valve, but when I did it this way, it worked perfectly--all of the solution went inside of the tire.
