I am currently using them in LED light strips which are motion activated and stay on for 45 seconds each time activated. The box says to use for low-drain devices stating such things as clocks, flashlights, radios, remote controls, smoke detectors, etc. I hope this helps.

No they are very abd batteries I would not use them for anything.

Are these batteries appropriate for use with LED lights?

The packaging says Carbon Zinc for Low-Drain Devices.

What chemistry is used?? They claim Alkaline in the ad but the packaging makes no mention only &quot;heavy duty&quot; which sounds like lead acid

The box does not mention these items....only that they are 1.5 volts and if needing a battery for higher drain devices they recommend the Universal alkaline battery. For more information than what is given on the box there is a website: www.upgi.com

The batteries are in a box and are packaged by twos in an easy to remove plastic wrap so they are not rattling around loose in the box. So far the battery performance has been good but I am using them in "low drain" devices.....motion activated LED light strips which only stay lit for 45 seconds at a time. Also, it is printed on the box the batteries are for low drain devices so these batteries are not something you would want to depend on for something like camera flashes. The power for the LED strips appears to be just as strong as the higher priced batteries which by the way didn't last as long as I thought they should have. So I'm thinking I'm going to get the same performance from these and hoping they will last longer. Even if they don't, this is a significant savings!

Good value

I bought this because so many gifts have the need for batteries to work and I wanted the people to be able to use their gift immediately, especially children. I'm sure you can imagine giving a child a remote control car without batteries and the disappointment of that child not to be able to play with it on Christmas morning...not good.

Super Heavy-Duty Batteries

The product was is great. Just in the shipping the box was torn open, the contents were put in a sealed bag and was all there. I made the employee count them there to make sure there all there when she brought them out.

These batteries are a great bargain as long as you don't try using them for anything other than wall clocks or remote controls. Not meant to be used for cameras - they would die too quickly.

Great bargain for low drain devices

I was super excited to have such a large amount of batteries for so little money!! Then it arrived. 50 batteries floating around in a box that was not intended for these particular batteries. While I am not OCD, I do like a little order. A box would have been nice.

Where's the box?

These batteries are listed as 'heavy duty battery'.  I put two of these in my Apple mouse and they lasted less than 4 days.  In addition, after receiving them, it is stated that these are for VERY LOW DRAIN DEVICES.....that is exactly what it says on the box.  On this listing, it plainly states SUPER HEAVY - DUTY.  Also, I am like 'what the heck is a low drain device???' and it says on the box 'clocks, radio, flashlights, remote controls, smoke detectors...and more.  Well I tell you something, my house was destroyed by fire several years ago and would YOU really trust these batteries in your smoke detectors?  Don't waste your money on these batteries.  I ordered these and the box of 50 AAA and they're not any good either.

These are extremely bad

There is nothing Super Heavy Duty about these batteries. It took five sets just take 20 pictures! I burned out ten batteries on 20 pictures. I have never seen such useless batteries in all the years I've been buying them.

I got these via site to store and they are eligible for an in-store return, which I am going to do as soon as I get into town again. Don't waste your money. They are the weakest batteries I've ever bought.

Do NOT buy these batteries!

These batteries are junk. Purchased them to use in wireless ear monitors for a band and they didn't last one full set of songs at the gig!
