Rated 5 out of 5★ by Rav3n Great headset I got this product from my girlfriend for valentines day this year and i absolutely love it. The added amp allows you to change sound for game music and movie. The cord is helpful because turtle beaches tend to cut out from time to time and you dont have to worry about batteries. I compete on gamebattles and other tournament play and this headset helps me out immensely. I reccomend this headset to anyone that wants the competitve edge... and the fact that MLG pro Hastro and Team EnvyUs uses these headsets is proof enough that they are amazing... and the fact they have higher customer satisfaction reports than beaches... Also the fact that this headset is compatible with PS3 and the PC as well... What more could you ask for from a gaming headset... 5.1 digital surround sound.... and the parts of the headset are replaceable if anything goes wrong with them... I have yet to have any issues with this yet everyone i know with turtle beaches has had any and every problem imagineable.... Trittons are the way to go if you want a quaity headset... 09/24/2010
Rated 5 out of 5★ by PlayinC0D247 Tritton AX 720 First off the Tritton AX 720s are the best headset i have ever owned, and i have ben thru alot of headsets. so lets get started, the Tritton AX 720 is not true DD 5.1 it just sounds like it and i have had true 5.1 and i cant tell any difference. also these headsets are NOT battery powered and its a HUGE upgrade from my old Turtle Beach x41 because it was wireless and i was always replacing batteries. theres not too many cords wich is good because i dont like cord clutter. the decoder box is good for producing 3d sound its comparable to the Astro a40 mix amp wich is $80 by it self, theres no problem with the headset being corded because i sit close to the tv anyways, the headset has a 12.5 ft cord wich is pretty long. the only thing i can say is bad about the headset is that if you are running an HDMI setup on your xbox you are going to need a $40 componet cable to hook up the headsets ingame audio but it will work fine with regular av/hd cables, and if you plan on taking this to any MLG events the decoder box runs on a seperate power supply so its not allowed but other than that, these are the best headsets ive ever owned. 12/12/2010
Rated 5 out of 5★ by dd536 Great headset! We have been playing on xbox for several years and never used a headset. What a difference! We tried a pair of X12's from Turtle Beach but they were uncomfortable. The Trittons can be worn for hours without a problem, because they fit over and around the ears (I am a large guy). The sound seems 3D and you hear things behind, left, right of you. The wires are not bad, and no batteries or interference. Nothing bad to say! 02/23/2012
Rated 2 out of 5★ by momxbox Only lasted few months I bought 2 of these for my 2 sons, and both broke in a matter of a few months. However, they put it on their Christmas list again, so I guess they like them while they worked. I tried to persuade them to get another brand, even for a significantly higher price, but they want the Tritons again. The reason is because they don't want to have to charge them, and the sound is crisp. They are looking at other models though, because this time they want wireless. I don't think these are that great, and they aren't that cheap. You would think they would've held up better, my kids are careful with their equipment because they don't want anything to break, so it was a matter of poor quality, not rough handling. I will probably purchase a different model of Tritons (wireless) for each of them, hopefully they'll hold up for a good amount of time. I am tired of buying cheap headsets, why can't I just find good headsets that last- it's really annoying. 11/29/2011
Rated 2 out of 5★ by WriteOne Not what I was looking for Corded headset did not connect with my HDMI XBox setup. Why would you want a corded headset with a wireless controler? 08/25/2010
