Good machine for a healthy workout.

We were wanting a treadmill that would give our bodies a better workout than our previous machine and we were also not wanting to be dependent on electricity when using it. The Exerpeutic 325 High Capacity Magnetic Manual Treadmill does just that. There was very little assembly required and my husband had no trouble with it, however, if I were by myself I'm not sure I would have understood how or had the strength to assemble it. Everything went together like clock work except the Guide Strips, which are not sticky enough to stay put. This machine has a battery-operated computer (batteries came with it) which gives a readout of pulse, time, distance and calories used. The frame is sturdy and made well. When trying it out the first day we felt the exercise in our stomach and leg muscles after a short workout. This machine is very affordable and well worth the money. Another bonus is that this machine does not take up as much room as an electric one and it folds up when not in use. We are very pleased with this machine and are recommending it to our friends.

Challenge!

Well, I did it. I took the manual treadmill challenge. I got the package, put it together myself with no problem, and began to walk. I was shocked! I actually have to do something instead of standing there letting the machine move my feet for me. I get more of a workout on this than I ever have on an electric treadmill. It really is nice and I would recommend this to anyone who actually likes a bit of a challenge. I have had it now for a couple of weeks but so far, so good! I used to walk on pavement but I felt like I needed some change and with winter coming up, this is absolutely perfect! Love it! (Who cares about the little timer/pulse/miles keeper thing, I use it for the amount of time I walk only anyway...I don't think any of those things are accurate....even on electric treadmills).

I needed to get in shape but don't care for high priced gyms or walking in my neighborhood so this was the best thing for me. I have had this treadmill for only five weeks but have found it to be everything I wanted. Assembly was easy but make sure it will fit any doorways you may need to pass through.

Great beginner's Treadmill

I'm 48 female, took me about 20 minutes to put it together (by myself), amazingly easy. I've never owned a treadmill, so I was looking to invest as little money as possible to see if it was something we'd use. I'm not an exerciser, but with the temps getting colder I want to be in the basement walking - I feel like I get a good work out - I can feel it in my legs. My kids are using it too - so that's a bonus. Can't figure out how to use the "computerize" pad, but that's okay, I'm not concerned on how far, how fast I'm going. I use it every other day. It's solid structure and can be used by heavier people. Great value and I would buy again!

Excellent starter unit
1/8/2012

Customer review by NotTotallyBald

The unit was easy to assemble and use within minutes of its arrival. The absence of a motor made it much easier to maneuver room to room, changing locations until a satisfactory fit was found. The only limitation was in the construction of the LCD unit, in which one nut came loose in the shipping, which allowed one cable input to pull back inside the casing, with no operator access to the inside, making the pulse detector inoperable. It works just fine with an independent pulse detection instrument. The magnetic resistance, belt, and incline system all work as they were designed.
