Awsome This is by far the best Transformers I have ever seen. It is almost identical to the one in the movie. There is one drawback, he is too complicated for the little ones. He has many different moving parts and comes apart easily. This is mainly for a collector or a more grown-up crowd. Most likely for ages 12 and up. Other than that, the swords are a big factor. They look very cool. Also, he has the new Mech-Alive feature which makes it that much better. If you are thinking of buying this, you won't be disappointed.Macdaddy223 06/24/2009
Excellent, Complex Toy I'm going to be honest, I got this toy on sale at Target for 39.99, but even at 45 bucks this Prime is easily one of the best incarnations yet. He even combines with the yet to be released(at least in Iowa) Leader Class Jetfire, just like in the movie! Although some will argue the combined mode doesn't look much like it did in the movie, I'm inclined to agree with them, but it's still cool nontheless.Leader Class Optimus Prime is extremely movie accurate, very poseable, and has excellent quality plastic and engineering.However, this is an extremely complex toy. I'm an avid collector of Transformers, and own a couple of the tricky Masterpiece figures. This toy rivals them in terms of conversion difficulty, I spent almost 45 minutes trying to get him to Vehicle mode the first time!As such, he may not be the best toy for children under 12. The Voyager version, although less detailed and a repaint of the 2007 voyager optimus, is cheaper and much more kid friendly.If your kid insists on owning this, be sure to sit down and help them transform it the first few times and make sure they understand some parts are fragile and can break(especially the chest bits).In any case, I'm extremely happy with mine, and I'm sure that anyone else who owns this guy will not be disappointed. 07/10/2009
Best Prime yet? I think so. Optimus prime is a marvel of transformers enginering, being very screen accurate in both robot and truck modes.He has a lot of posability and fun action features.Word of note however: Optimus can be very difficult to transform at first, if purchased for a younger Transformers fan help from a parent is a must. 06/01/2009
Awesome I can't believe how much this looks like the movie version, super poseable and detailed. If you get one prime, this should be it. Transformation is difficult, I wouldn't reccomend for a younger kid. 06/11/2009
