I bought this set after finding America's Test Kitchen had rated them #2 behind All-Clad and above Calphalon. I can definately say you can't find a better set for the $. The only drawback is the lip which does hinder pouring, but this is hardly a deal breaker. Definately buy this set! 12/23/2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by k1p2 Outstanding value, not available at this price elsewhere. Tri-ply is the very best construction available! Hollow handles are riveted - (but, I miss the solid handles in the more expensive set, which give the “feel” of quality). The frying pan is deep enough for fried chicken; the storage bowls are a real plus and more durable than plastic. I’m glad I bought this set for myself and highly recommend all Tramontina cookware. 12/25/2011
Rated 3 out of 5 by 3piglets Good with sale price They look very good out of box.However, two pots got rainbow color after only 20 minutes of boiling water in them. It could have something to do with polishing. The handle of the glass cover got a little hot after 20 minutes of low heat of keeping water boiling. There is no hole on the glass cover, but keep low heat while cooking soup should be fine.The mixing bowls have outer rims a little sharper than expected. It may be ok.The steamer is a little in size than expect.Overall, they are ok for the price. 01/12/2012

When I made that switch I realized how bad my current 5-year-old teflon set was. I couldn't afford much but decided to upgrade to stainless steel and these were more affordable than similar sets we looked at plus they came with the steamer, and the bowls. Another thing is that there is a lid that fits each pot and pan, which many sets don't have (our old set didn't)I've had these for about a month and use them all day every day. These cook evenly (even on a too small burner), the handles don't get hot, and I love that even the bowls can go on the stove or in the oven. I have noticed that no matter how much oil or butter I use things still stick to these pans, but only when the heat is on, when you wash the pan (even if left over night) the food scrubs off easily, much easier than I anticipated.It sure doesn't hurt that they're so shiny and pretty either!I just LOVE my new pots and pans! 02/08/2012
