The Hard Anodized Cookware Set (Mfr# 80121/517) was proudly Made in the USA with Imported Accessories.

The box says Made in USA. The company is Tramontina USA Inc located in Sugarland, TX

The instructions say to add oil and heat on medium heat for three minutes and wash out. Makes no sense to me but I did this with each item.

You wash, dry, rub the inside with oil and heat, cool and wash! That's it! They are ready to be used and last well over 12 years!

You can season your Tramontina hard anodized - nonstick cookware by lightly rubbing cooking oil onto the cooking surface and heating the cookware over medium heat for two to three minutes. When cool, hand-wash in warm, soapy water and rinse.

Please note: Do not use nonstick aerosol cooking sprays in your cookware. They will leave a residue, which may be difficult to remove, and will cause foods to stick to the cookware.

There aren't any vent holes in the glass lids. However, the lids are made of heat- and shatter-resistant tempered glass with a wide stainless steel rim. Industrial glass is tempered by a controlled thermal treatment process to increase its strength when compared with normal glass. Tempering creates balanced internal stresses which cause the glass, when broken, to crumble into small granular chunks instead of splintering into jagged shards. The granular chunks are less likely to cause injury. Under normal usage, and by following the instructions below, tempered glass lids are safer for use within household kitchens.

I absolutely love this cookware set The price paid for what you get is great. I have never gotten so many pots with any other set I've ever gotten. I love the steamer too. It's great for vegs so you don't have to cook in water. Also getting hard anodized for this price is nice.

For quite a while I've been lusting for a set of hard anodized cookware, but it's always been extremely pricey and I wasn't sure if it was worth the expense. This set by Tramontina (a large well-regarded international manufacturer of cookware that's not particularly well-known in the U.S.) fits the bill. It may be a bit lighter weight than some of the better known brands, but not much. For home use that's not a bad thing because it makes the larger pieces easier to handle. It's solidly made and the pieces have a non-stick coating that makes clean-up easy. The set was particularly attractive because it comes with almost all the size pieces I wanted and at least one that was unexpected: a nice steamer insert that fits one of the saucepans. The stockpot is a smaller, manageable size that's more than large enough for ordinary home use. A feature I particularly like is that the handles on the pans and lids all have silicone grips so you don't need a pot holder to pick up a hot pan.

There were a few additional pieces I wanted that are also available separately on WalMart.com. One is a 12-inch covered frying pan, which is also available inexpensively from Tramontina, and the other was a large flat-bottomed griddle which is available from Calphalon. I also wanted a 5-quart (12-inch) deep sauté pan which is a good size if you're making food for 4 or more people when you're having company. I found one of those that's almost identical to the Tramontina pieces for a ridiculously low price on a promotion at Bed Bath & Beyond.

Because the set is new I haven't used all the pieces yet, but the ones I've used have performed flawlessly. Here are a few tips gleaned from the fine print on the instructions to be sure your cookware lasts forever: 1) Use non-scratch utensils to preserve the non-stick surface; 2) use medium to low heat on your stovetop because the aluminum from which the cookware is made is an extremely efficient distributor of heat and you'll rarely need to use higher temperatures; 3) season your new cookware by first washing it with soap and water, then coating the non-stick interior surfaces with a thin film of cooking oil and heating them on the stovetop for two or three minutes, then washing them once more when they've cooled; 4) avoid using non-stick pan sprays unless they contain nothing but cooking oil because non-oil sprays leave a residue that eventually affects the non-stick surface and makes it sticky (if you don't have oil spray substitute a couple of teaspoons of cooking oil to just coat the pan).

Gourmet Cookware At A Reasonable Price

Cookware is durable,cleans up easily, never have to cook with heat higher than medium, distributes heat evenly.I did have to look up how to use and season this set as no instructions came with the set, and wish the smallest sauce pan had a lid , but I absolutely love this set of cookware and should be last set of cookware I would have to purchase, wholeheartedly recommend this set to anyone!

Great Cooking set

Very slick surface almost no need to use any oil or butter. It's constructed very well and heaver then most pan we looked at. We are very happy with this cookware.

Easy clean up, everything cooks evenly. They dont feel cheap and put up with a good beating. Good sizes and great for a single person or large family.

Worth the buy

I couldn't find this particular set in my local store. It has an extra steamer basket and the large skillet with a lid that the sets I looked at, same brand, did not have although they were the same price! Great value; well worth the money! I absolutely love them. I had a set like these before that lasted for 12 years, and we're still good (I had a house fire and lost everything). I was so happy to find a set like those, but these are evn better!

I love them!

This cookware has been fantastic so far, but beware that the picture is misleading. There is no lid for the small pan as shown in the Walmart picture. Other than that deception, the cookware is very good quality and cleanup by hand is a breeze. No issues.

The pots are very attractive. Non-stick surfaces are, so far,very easy to clean. "Hand-wash" only instruction gives me a little worry as I have always put pots into the dishwasher.

I purchased this pot set and I really like it. My husband likes the clear lids and all the pieces seem very durable. I like to cook with very little to no oil and the pots work great. So far so good!

Good quality and good value

I wanted pretty cookware but could not find any that did not scratch. I researched and read the reviews on this set and decided to give it a try. They are not pretty but they are attractive. I seasoned them the way I was supposed to. So far I love them. I am not having a problem with not putting them in the dishwasher since they clean up quickly. I do see some scratches even though I use plastic and wood utensils. I am not a fan of the glass tops since they spot and do no look totally clean after washing. I like the depth of the sauce pans. The frying pan is a bit small but not enough to make me hate it. I kept the bubble wrap to use between the pots and pans when I stack them in the cabinet. I am being extra careful with these since I want them to last a long time but for this price I should be able to use them without fear of damaging them. They are medium weight which is great. All in all I am pleased.

Great Cookware

These are beautiful pans.  After only 3 days of use they began to show signs of scratching and scruffs.  I only used plastic or wood utensils and hand washed them gently.   So I did return them.  The reason I gave then 2 stars is because they look amazing and Wal-Mart does easy returns.
