They aren&#39;t really plastic or wooden. Imagine a big pool ball! Thats what they feel and look like! So they are kinda marbly feeling.

This has been enjoyed by my entire large family.  The kids and grand kids love playing it.

I was very pleased with the set I purchased. Be aware, at first glance the picture looks like there is a stand. There is not. I also remember as a kid how cool the wooden balls were. However I am now 70 so that was a long time ago. I realize the cost of using wooden balls and having a great stand is why some of the sets cost so much more than what I paid. I would prefer to have been able to afford a more expensive set that had a stand, and wooden balls. However, I was very pleased with the set I purchased. It will give us many hours of pleasure. I suspect it will not last as many years as the ones with wooden balls would, but the quality is great for the price.

You get what you pay for.

I haven't played croquet in years so I was excited to get this item. It comes in an easy to carry bag and the items were easy to assemble.

The grandkids had fun trying to figure out a game they had never played before. It was fun for them.

This item is great! BUT the balls don't come in the color they look like on the website. It comes with a lime green ball instead of the dark green it shows, it also comes with a purple. But other than the item is great.

GREAT!

The game is nice and fairly well constructed. A deciding factor for me was the carry case that was included. I do not feel it is large enough to hold the equipment. It does all fit but requires removing the mallet heads in order to store it and I believe the mallets will not remain a tight fit if constantly put on and off. If the bag were two inches either longer or taller allowing it to be stored fully assembled I would rate it a 5 star.

Almost Great

Nice set but one mallet has an issue. When the set comes, you have to attach mallet head to the handle. On one mallet the threads either were stripped or stripped very easily when my 6 yr. old granddaughter who was trying to help me couldn't get it together.

Good set; one mallet defective.

Overall the set is not bad.  The balls seem to be well weighted.  The mallets were easy to assemble.  The wire arches for the balls to go through are a bit small and cheap.  The mallet handles are pretty short for adults and the bag is not the most sturdy.

Great for kids, not adults

Bought this as an activity gift for my grandchildren, aged 5.  Easy to set up.  Instructions for play are difficult to understand.  You can not play this game on deep grass.  The balls are heavy and sink to the ground.  Small children can not hit the ball very far through grass.

bought this as a gift.  Received two yellow balls and no purple ball.  Kind of hard to play 6 people when two of you have the same color ball.  I also wish that the mallets would fit inside the bag without having to be taken apart each time.
