These stools have a simple ring that you pull to release the seat then it folds pretty flat. I love these stools and find them very handy, comfortable, and easy to store.

IT FOLDS AND BECOME LIKE A NARROW BOARD. AND LOCKS WHEN YOU OPEN IT FOR SECURITY

The spring lock is on a 1/2" Pin with a finger size ring you pull, lift the seat and folds flat. I love mine.

There's a spring-loaded button in one leg that pops through a hole up under the seat when it is fully open.

There is a little spring attached to a finger ring. To open the stool, you just unfold it and it locks into place. To close it back up, you just hook your finger on the ring, pull on it, and it lets you fold it right up. It's really smooth and easy!

It is a spring loaded &quot;latching&quot; mechanism with a &quot;pull tab&quot; to unlock it! Works fine for me!

On one of the four legs, near the seat, it has one of those spring loaded BB&#39;s that pops out into a hole in the leg. To fold into the using position, you simply open it up, whereupon the BB locks into a hole. To return to storage position, you depress the BB and you depress the BB. Many folding tables have the same type of mechanism.

Re: the Trademark 24" folding stool. How does the folding mechanism work? In other words what is a "spring action secure lock ?"

First add quantity 12 and then add quantity 1- it will put 13 in your cart.

I need 13 of these stools on or about next Saturday. How do I order more than the indicated amount on the website- it only goes to 12?

I have a friend who weighs about 200+ pounds and it held up. That&#39;s about all I can tell you.

I weigh 200 pounds and it holds up fine. Feels sturdy.

I weigh about 320# and it holds ME up with no problem! The stool is all steel except for the padding on the seat (which makes it much more comfortable than my old &quot;hard seated&quot; stool!)

According to the label affixed on the underside of the seat, the maximum safe load is 200 pounds.
