I gave this GPS to my Dad for Father's day. I was very happy with the ease of use. My Dad is older and not computer savy and was able to use this without any help from "the Kids". He lives in Michigan and goes to Canada from time to time - so the fact that this GPS has Canadian maps also was an added plus.

I joke with everyone that this is a Fisher Price GPS. It's very cute, and it looks like an Etch-a-Sketch, to tell you the truth; however, this is a good, functional, and inexpensive way to stop getting lost! I haven't run into a problem yet, and I've used it a number of times to locate addresses that I haven't been to before. The text to speech is good, but it only comes in a few voices. If you just want the GPS to read off directions (left, right, go straight) there are lots of voices to choose from. Overall, awesome buy for $68 + free shipping. I never needed anything fancy anyway.

Very simple entry level GPS.Like it! Does not have some features like text directions but gets the job done. And easy to attach.

Setup was very easy. Just used out of the box. Also, the windshield attaching method is great- easy to put on and take off, with no permanent brackets. Previously had a Garmin, which I felt was easier to navigate through the on screen menus. It's also a hassle to turn down the volume- have to go through several steps on the screen rather than a dial or button. Screen is a little small, and a little hard to see (it was a gift and I don't know if it comes bigger than 3.5"). The voice announcing the street names is less annoying than the Garmin voice, but the pronounciation is terrible and often impossible to understand. It's also made a few mistakes, possibly a few more than Garmin. All in all, though, I'm happy with this unit and would recommend it.

I have both a Magellan and the Ease and I choose to use the Ease because the Magellan does not support a MAC computer and thus I can't update its maps. The Tom-Tom home feature is easy to navigate, but can be misleading at times. I bought some maps I already had and didn't know it. I bought the maps for Ireland and now the Ease's memory is full. It would be helpful if it had an option for a memory card. The screen is easy to navigate, but I have a "fat finger" problem. Sometimes the audio turns off by itself (which makes me turn it back on again) and it is sometimes difficult to see in the sunlight. It has never led me astray and gives good directions, although the pronunciations leave something to be desired. Overall it's a very good device.

I'm very happy with the Tomtom EASE. It's very easy to use and does a very good job of giving me directions. It's small and compact so it is easy to pack and take on trips if you travel. Also, the price is great.

I would recommend a GPS but I am not certain I would recommend this model. It is difficult to make changes while enroute and if you are older than 30 years it is sometimes difficult to operate even in a stand still position. I puchased the dashboard holder. It is a tremendous help and makes it much easier to read while not distracting your vision. One time it routed me to an area where the street where I was to turn did not or no longer existed. This error planted seeds of doubt about its ability to be accurate. Also, I wish it would direct me to the right or left side of the street when it tells me "You have reached your destination."

I was given a 350XL which I gave bact to Co. owner because I thought it was outdated. The product began taking me 30 to 40 miles out of destination I decided the cost to update maps not worthwhile if that was the problem. I purchased this unit for the LIFETIME maps. It performed great for 9 months and now will not allow for any input except to return home!!! I am beyond upset!!!!

I have used Tomtoms professionally for the past 3 years as a medical transportation driver (non-emergency). My first 2 years, I used 4 of the other brands including 2 of the ones whose name starts with a "G". Tomtoms are the clear winner. I have used my Tomtom to get me to hundreds and hundreds of addresses with no trouble at all. Perhaps, 1 out of 200 times, I will glance at a map to clarify something. But that's rare and is usually the result of the customer incorrectly giving us "st" instead of "ave". Tomtoms have easier to use user interfaces, more features, and are built better. The ability to mark roads impassable is invaluable. There is a major bridge near here that is and will be out of service for years. The GPS that starts with a "G" (that was current with the latest maps) wouldn't allow me to remove the bridge, so I was unsure which direction to head in, so I'd just guess and head off in a direction and then it'd sometimes route me back to that bridge, so then I'd just drive farther the other way. What a mess. But the Tomtom lets you mark a road impassable, and it only takes a minute. I have had a 125, 130, 140S, and now an Ease. When I get a new one, I give my older one away to a relative, and they all love them too. My mom is enjoying her hand me down 140S. I recommend Tomtoms to all my family and friends, because I have so much faith in them. Do yourself a favor and buy a Tomtom over the other brands. I am writing such a long and verbose review because I believe so much in Tomtom as a GPS device. And as a pro driver, if a Tomtom works so well for me, it will work even better for the occasional GPS user.

It is easy to use. Some features are missing that I am use to using from the other Tom-Tom's I have used. You don't seam to be able to replay directions, modify volume of the voice, easily turn off specific POI, or get traffic information. The unit cost less so I assumed there would be some functions missing. For the price so far...works well.
