About this item
For those who thought they knew what happened, this film will prove that there is more to the story than the last hundred years has suggested. One hundred years ago, on April 10th 1912, the world's largest and most luxurious steamship ever built, the RMS Titanic, set sail on her maiden voyage from Southampton to New York. Despite her 'unsinkable' image, it was a journey she could never complete. In less than five days, she would fatally strike an iceberg and lie broken on the bottom of the North Atlantic Ocean. Taken from the testimonies of the survivors of that tragic night, this film will use drama and documentary to piece together the final few hours before and after the collision and reveal how she was doomed from the outset. With the forces of nature conspiring against her in a 'perfect storm', we will prove that the sinking and subsequent loss of over 1500 lives was an inevitable disaster. We will reveal the real reason why she sank and why so many would die, finally closing the case on the RMS Titanic.
