Performs as expected This product performs as expected, and my son uses it regularly, 2 months later. Initially purchased a little too early, but he enjoys using it daily now. I have had no problems with this unit to date, and will be giving to someone else to use shortly. 02/02/2009
Love It!!! I bought this for my daughter when another mat that i received at my shower wasn't really doing anything for her. She was around 2 and a half months old at the time and screamed when I laid her on it. I thought maybe the toys were too close to her face... I waited a few weeks and brought it bak out and WOW!!! She absolutely LOVES this mat. She will play and squeal for hours until she is hungry or tired from playing!! She has started rolling now and the different activities on the mat base are helpful to initiate her quasi crawling :-) The lights do come out in order to wash however, my daughter spits up a good bit and I've had to wash quite a few times and the colors aren't as bright but that's to be expected I guess. At first I was relunctant to pay this much for a mat, but I would do it again!!! Highly recommend 10/15/2008
color upgrade For our previous two children we had the red, white and black Gymini which is great for development becuase they say babies don't really see colors until later anyway. But my husband thought it was ugly and really wanted a colorful one for our third baby- who doesn't get much new stuff by default. Seems the same for durability although I haven't took it all apart and washed it yet. 07/18/2008
Good For motor skills This product wasn't exactly what I imagined. My daughter is almost 4 months. Initially she didn't respond to the gymini like I thought she would. However, I have been putting her on the gymini daily and I see she is making attempts to try to crawl. This toy is good in helping to develop motor skills. I thought that it would be more lighting. The only thing that light up are the flowers. The music is soothing and calming for an infant, but I thought it would be actual songs. 06/23/2008
