The numbers mostly. The face is 1.125 inches across.

it means it's outer radius when your measure it with caliper is >= 44mm

"Oversize" is supposed to refer to the size of the face. However, it is actually only about 1.25" (32mm), which is not a large watch face for a man's watch.

Wal-Mart sells other "oversize" watches that are 1.5" (37mm) and 1.7" (43mm) that are also digital, Indiglo and have easy to read numerals. But, they do not all have the day/date, so do, some don't.

The size of the numbers is what is oversize.

Both...the overall size is about 1 & 1/2 " across and the numbers are double a regular number...makes it very easy to read...but not outlandish in look or size. Was very pleased...

I returned my watch because it was more like a woman's watch. I measured it and I think that I remember that it was 32mm. I bought it to replace my 37mm watch and it was smaller than that.

I researched lots of different watches to get one that was the best combo of looks, function and price. You cannot go wrong with this one. It's a great size for men and women, high quality leather band, adorable red second hand, and has day and date. The indiglo function helps me see what time it is at night without hurting my eyes in the dark. I plan on having this watch and wearing it everyday for as long as it keeps ticking.

Perfect basic watch

A great watch at a great price! 
Some may call this design “retro,” but to me it is the classic timex style that I remember from the 1960s/1970s. 
For less than $40 it is a dependable good looking no nonsense watch that I can wear and not worry about.

I had to put my old band on it to fit my wrist comes with a standard size. I like seeing the day with the date indeglo works good looks great and has the Timex reliability.

For an all around affordable watch this Timex is the ticket. Beautiful big easy to see numbers and a nice well put together brown strap that rounds this watch out and keeps perfect time. For the price you can't go wrong trust me.

Outstanding Product

This is my second purchase of this same watch. The first I had for about 5 years and it performed flawlessly. I caught the adjustment knob on the edge of a Swimming pool I was working on and pulled it completely out so no fault of the watch. I did buy another.

Really happy with the watch. My husband has a really large wrist and it is hard to find a band that fits him. This one did right out of the box.

This is a great watch! This is the 3rd or 4th I've bought. It's super sturdy, easy to read (day %26 night), the Indiglo feature works amazingly well %26 the wrist band is casually stylish. The only reason I've had several is because I've been wearing each of them for many years %26 have flat worn them out. I should also mention I'm REALLY hard on watches %26 they keep running. They are that good!

If you need a casual every day watch, this is it!

It's a camping watch and the Indiglo works great. This watch replaced another Timex Indiglo watch that was 20 or more years old. So, I'm hoping this one lasts as long.

Setting the day and date is erratic. Initially I pulled the entire crown out of the watch! It went back in, but setting the day or date did not work. I then went through a few iterations of pulling the crown out halfway and turning to adjust. Things FINALLY lined up internally and I was able to set both day and date.

It's important to know when the time is AM or PM since it effects future day and date readings. Setting the time at PM will change the day and date when the time reaches 12. (12 represents both AM and PM.) This feature is common in most watches, just keep it in mind when setting time.

The only reason the watch did not get 5 stars is because of the erratic way in which the day and date are set. The instructions and how the watch worked in this respect did not match.
