Rated 4 out of 5 by Carfaxabby Official "AMC's The Walking Dead" Plug and Play
I learned, that in a month or so, a first person shooter (fps) named The Walking Dead, (based on the graphic novel, now a AMC series) would be available for purchase on 2 of the 3 popular video game systems.. But sadly, I own the 1 system that it won't be available for.. Let's just say that the system's name rhymes with the word "Wee"... Well, as luck would have it, I found (at a major retailer) the next game from Jakks Pacific's Plug and Play series. "Zombie Hunter: AMC's Walking Dead Edition".. And I couldn't be happier.
As a owner of other "Plug and Play" titles, (The Sega Genesis Collection, and Star Wars Collection) I knew I had to have it..
So here's my "customer review" of Jakk's Pacific, Zombie Hunter: AMC's The Walking Dead Edition..
Straight out of the box, the controller is a single barrel, pump action, 12 gauge shotgun. (what more does one need?) With it comes a censor bar, that you mount on top, or below your screen to calibrate your aim.. Simply add batteries and begin to play. The game, itself is a fps, on rails.. You don't control the direction, you just aim and blast at anything that moves.. The game has 3 modes.. Story... Horde.. And, Free Play.
In Story Mode, you try to survive the woods, cemeteries, and streets of Atlanta Georgia.. You eventually meet up with Glen, a character from the novel/series. And join forces, trying to survive. In Horde Mode, you try to survive an endless buffet of "Walkers" that what to eat your eyeballs.
In Free Play Mode... Well, the name is sorta self-explanatory..
Overall, I give this console "Plug and Play" an "A-"... Why you ask? I'm glad you did. The retail price is kinda steep.. Major retailers will want $40.. But since it was my only option to play a "Walking Dead" game, I am thrilled.. And on another note... With the game integrated into the controller, well, they can only do so much.. BUT, (to it's advantage) it greatly resembles a 16 bit Super NES console game... SO!! If you crave some "old school", this is your answer... Buy it... But remember what the rules were in the film "Zombieland".. DOUBLE TAP!!

I watch the TV show with my son and we love it. The game is extremely fun for us and not too difficult. The shotgun controller is much more fun and easy than a normal video game controller and the lload time is fairly quick. Good game to play for a few minutes whenever you have time.
