    The Saboteur (Xbox 360) 5 5 3 3
    Very Good Game. If you took the best and most enjoyable parts of Grand Theft Auto, Assassin's Creed, and Metal Gear Solid and put them together along the backdrop of World War 2, you would get The Saboteur. Not to say that this is a copy of all those games, but certain elements have been lifted from them and used to create something unique and captivating. The controls are nearly flawless, the graphics are spectacular and the gameplay varies so you're not bored. The gameplay CAN get monotonous if you let it but there are in-game Perks you can achieve, ambient freeplays to accomplish (like planting bombs and taking out enemy generals), and a vehicle collection option which are nice diversions if you want to do something other than story missions, which can be accomplished in a variety of ways, be it shooting it out with half of the enemy army or sneaking around in disguised discreetly planting explosives. A great game that I've logged over 28 hours in and am only about halfway through. 02/11/2010
    Grand Theft Auto: WWII When I say this game plays like Grand Theft Auto, Rockstar could have stolen the code and released it as a new GTA offering and nobody (except Pandemic) would have been the wiser. Now that is not to say that this is a rip-off of the GTA franchise. This game uses a familiar interface to smoothly implement a fun and compelling storyline without botching the job. If you've played most of the top titles out there you won't need to learn the controls at all. Jacking cars and driving as well as mission style are the same as GTA IV, although the tongue in cheek humor is lacking it brings its own humor in the form of colorful phrases by the main character Sean Devlin. Climbing and hiding are reminiscent of Assassin's Creed II although not identical, and some action controls conjure up memories of Splinter Cell and Call of Duty titles. While some games are merely ripoffs of other titles, some incorporate the familiarity of the controls to make the scope of the game somewhat easier to navigate. As far as free-play content, I found the content in this game to be more fun than in GTA titles. Its fairly abundant and completing sabotages on enemy targets nets you contraband (The currency in this game, basically items banned by the Germans, like art, alcohol, medicine, and cigarettes in an attempt to break the spirit of the French). It definitely packs both the fun and the content to be worth the price. 01/08/2010
