On vacation in Los Angeles, Walter, the world's biggest Muppet fan, his brother Gary (Jason Segel) and Gary's girldfriend Mary (Amy Adams) from Smalltown, USA, discover the nefarious plan of oilman Tex Richman (Chris Cooper) to raze the Muppet Theater and frill for the oil recently discovered beneath the Muppets' former stomping grounds. To stage The Greatest Muppet Telethon Ever and raise the 10 million dollars needed to save the theater, Walter, Mary and Gary help Kermit reunite the Muppets, who have all gone their separate ways: Fozzie now performs with a Reno casino tribute band called the Moopets, Miss Piggy is a plus-size fashion editor at Vogue Paris, Animal is in a Santa Barbara clinic for anger management, and Gonzo is a high-powered plumbing magnate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by landrunner Great movie for kids and adults My 10 year son is crazy about the Muppets and we already own all of the Muppet movies every made. This movie is another great addition to his collection and it is great entertainment for kids and adults. The finger puppets were a great bonus to the purchase. My son was not as impressed with the puppets as I had expected. The puppet quality is good, but not great. Strands of Miss Piggy's hair have been falling out. Overall, though, a good purchase and fun entertainment. 04/17/2012

I wish I didn't have to buy both a DVD & a Blu ray, but the purchase was worth it. The other stores had packages with things like posters, but the puppets are the best b/c my kids actually play w/ them. They are durable & very detailed. Very satisfied w this purchase! 04/10/2012
