Every year in the ruins of what was once North America, the evil Capitol of the nation of Panem forces each of its twelve districts to send a teenage boy and girl to compete in "The Hunger Games". A twisted punishment for a past uprising and an ongoing government intimidation tactic, "The Hunger Games" are a nationally televised event in which "Tributes" must fight with one another until one survivor remains. Pitted against highly-trained Tributes who have prepared for these Games their entire lives, Katniss is forced to rely upon her sharp instincts as well as the mentorship of drunken former victor Haymitch Abernathy. If she's ever to return home to District 12, Katniss must make impossible choices in the arena that weigh survival against humanity and life against love.

Rated 4 out of 5 by GMA44 Read books first. I read the books first and couldn't wait for the movie. It started good then messed up in middle so I had to fast forward past it. Since reading books I could understand movie better, it leaves alot of stuff out that you won't understand. 01/26/2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by se1xy68 The movie, Hunger Games, is not something I would care for, but in this case it was a gift for my 45 year old daughter and she jus loves this particular movie. She missed it when it was in the theater so she was very excited about receiving it for Christmas. The in store pick is wonderful. When I first went to get the movie the store was sold out and did not know if they would receive any more before Christmas. By ordering on line, and using in store shipping I was sure of getting what I wanted in time. Thank you for your presenting this type of service.The clerk who helped me was very pleasant and very helpful. She knew exactly what to do without asking anyone for help.
