Movie Description

The following content was provided by the publisher.

"Savage Guns": When a tavern owner double-crosses the wrong man, he and his posse get revenge by shooting up the bar and then burning it down. The owner and several of his patrons are killed, but one man survives and is able to pull himself from the burning wreckage. After he is taken in by strangers and nursed back to health, the lone survivor takes a vow of vengeance and begins a quest to stalk down the killer and his cohorts. "The Sundowners": Chill Wills co-stars in this action Western about James (Robert Preston) and Tom (Robert Sterling) Cloud, a pair of rancher brothers constantly at odds due to their different methods of ranching - one being legal and the other illegal. Their differences turn into an all-out war because James doesn't approve of Tom's illegitimate activities. The relationship turns even uglier when Tom drags James' son into the middle of their feud and goes so far as to threaten him. This is the final straw, forcing James to take care of things once and for all. "The Gatling Gun", which stars Guy Stockwell, Woody Strode, Patrick Wayne, and John Carradine, is a fantastic, whimsical, yet fictional tale of how the Gatling gun was introduced to the West, and how the final frontier was forever changed by it. "The Bushwackers": Scarred by the death and destruction of the Civil War, a former soldier takes a vow of non-violence, wanting to live the rest of his days peacefully. But on the way back to his home in Missouri, he passes through a town controlled by a tyrannical land tycoon. There he witnesses the murder of the local newspaper columnist for printing unfavorable articles about the iron-fisted landowner. Not able to stand-by and watch the injustice go unpunished, the ex-soldier breaks his vow of passivity and sets out to take the villainous land baron down. "White Comanche": A pair of half-white, half-Comanche Indian twin brothers - both played by William Shatner - constantly find themselves at odds and at war with each other. After much conflict and after a desperate struggle with their identities, they find an even ground and even a little brotherly love. "Great American West - Documentary": The legacy of famed film director John Ford is the focus of "Great American West" and involves the comprehensive, intimate interviews of James Stewart, Henry Fonda, John Wayne, and even the director himself. Other actors Ford worked with on films like "Stagecoach" and "The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance" are also highlighted. "Kentucky Rifles": A man is given the duty of seeing the safe passage of a wagonload of rifles through Indian inhabited territory. But when the Indians discover the goods, the man and his passengers are given the choice of relinquishing the rifles or giving up the ghost. "Bells Of San Angelo": Rex Gridley (John McGuire) heads up a gang of silver smugglers who are taken on by the persistent purveyor of justice Roy Rogers. But in a landmark plot twist, Rogers doesn't best the criminals, but rather, they best him! The hero of this little gem of a musical Western is none other than Dale Evans as Lee Madison, a novelist who happens to write - you guessed it - Westerns.
