I have'nt camped since I was a kid. This little stove was great this weekend at our cub scout camp out. I had no problems with and was delighted at the ease of use. Taquitos to beef stew it did a wonderful job.

The texsport stove is great...we are happy with its construction and use. You can control the burner's heat on the texsport grill and stove. The knobs are colored so you can easily see which way is on or off. Unfortunately we had just bought a coleman stove first and found the reviews to be true - the quality is poor - one side wind guard hinge broke on the 2nd use. You cannot lower the heat...the coleman only burns at full heat. Except for boiling water, we could not cook without burning our food to a crisp even with watching the food every minute. The coleman knobs are solid black so you can't tell which way is on or off at first.
Luckily we did an internet search for different stove brands and found the texsport on walmart.com. In our area, only coleman stoves are sold...we didn't know other brands are available--our first coleman stove lasted 20 years without any problems---so we didn't expect the quality problem with a new coleman.

Very easy to use.I cook way better on this unit.Very precise burner control.I use a small hunk of 2 by 4 to prop up lid over the meat to slow cook. The only down side is the grill grate is not cast iron or aluminum it is a coated thin steel which is easy to scratch off the non stick coating.the Coleman looks to be a cast grate but less cooking area.Does not come in green only red.So don't expect green.

We purchased this grill combo for its size to carry in a motorcycle trailer and it fit the bill. The only drawback was that it was suppose to come with a rubber connecting hose and it was metal.
