Rated 5 out of 5★áby Purchased for my high schooler!! I purchased thus calculator for my son who is in high school. So far so good and very relieved i didn't have to spend a $100 just for what he needed!!!!! 08/18/2014
Rated 5 out of 5★áby does contain battery While specifications for this calculator say"Battery Type: Does Not Contain a Battery"It does according to the online manual. My TI30xs is very similar and has run years with the same battery. The TI-36X Pro calculator uses one 3 volt CR2032 lithium battery. When the battery gets low this happensLOW BATTERY ÔÇö Replace the battery.Note: This message displays briefly and then disappears.Pressing - does not clear this message. If you have read on the net that this calculator has a PI bug continue reading because there are also people that say there is no bug.I bought my first TI is 1977 and it still works so with care this calculator should last forever. 10/11/2012
Rated 5 out of 5★áby The best non-graphing calculator out there. I own a Casio -115 ESS Plus. Compared to the Casio calculator, this TI looks very impressive. I really like the Casio, but there are more functions on the TI, your calculations are retained even when the calculator is turned off(not so with the Casio) , and there other features which make the TI a very good choice. I do not like the buttons for division multiplication, minus, and plus on the TI calculator. They are etched on chrome, and a very hard to read. However, I used a sharpie to make it more readable, and it seems to work fine. I have now started using the TI, and have put the Casio aside. 02/12/2014
Rated 5 out of 5★áby calculator Worked great! 08/28/2014
Rated 3 out of 5★áby Good Good 10/28/2013
Rated 3 out of 5★áby Great calculator but has flaws. The logic and lay out of the calculator are outstanding. Why I kept it. Although when I think about its flaws. It was a toss up. But it has flaws that stop it from being perfect. That only an experienced mathematical type person can work around. It does give wrong answers when pie is used in fractions. That is the worst and hardest thing to get around. The slide plate is flimsy. Then the chromed keys. With lighting glare, they are hard to read. The contrast setting makes little difference on the LCD display. But all the other features and ease of use still make it very usable as long as you work around the pie error. Easiest way don't use the pie key. Enter it as 22/7. Anything past 3 decimal places is for idiots anyway. 09/15/2013
Rated 1 out of 5★áby Not reliable I tried to convert -25 celsius to fahrenheit, using the C to F conversion function, the TI36 PRO returned -77The correct answer is -13A calculator that can't do a simple conversion is useless, I don't have time to proof every calculation I do on the calculator. If I did have time, I wouldn't need the calculator.Maybe I have a dud, I'll try a different one. But I don't think this is the case. 11/17/2012
