The Taylor Tempered Glass Body Fat/Body Water Scale estimates body fat and body water (to the precise 0.1%). It features a low/normal/moderate/high status bar which shows where you rank with your body fat and body water percentages. The capacity of the body fat analyzer is an ultra-high 440 pounds, yet reads in precise 0.2 lb increments. Made of high tempered glass with brushed stainless steel accents, the oversized platform of this Taylor 5599 scale adds for a sleek and contemporary look. The dual line readout is a large 1.8 in total height. It comes with a built-in carrying handle that allows the scale to be moved easily. This scale also functions as a simple weight-only scale where you can just step on the scale to get your weight measurement. The scale has an LCD display for you to view measurements. One lithium battery is included along with this scale.

Rated 2 out of 5 by WannabeMolly Just didn't hold up I bought this scale about 3 years ago. This scale has pretty much every feature that I could want in a scale, and probably the first year or so it worked pretty good. There were some times when I would get on it and get right back on it and it would give me a different reading. Usually if I got on it a 3rd time it would give me the same reading again though. So I'd say it was mostly accurate. It looks nice. I'd say that is the extent of the prosCons? The body fat/muscle/bone/water function went about about a year and a half ago. That's to me is almost more important than my weight. I don't care how much I weight, I care about my BMI. The other problem I had was with the personal settings. Those quit working right too so I gave up and just use the guest setting. Now about the last 4 months even just the weight on the guest setting doesn't work right. 50% of the time it will show you the weight in Kg, the other 50% of the time it shows lbs. This is regardless of what the setting is set for. I can switch it and it will still do whatever it wants. Why on earth I haven't bought a new scale yet is beyond me, but this thing is getting chucked this week. I would have rather paid more for a scale that lasted. 08/22/2012
