It works for about 6 months.After that, the Windows start to ask you to format the compact flash every time you plug in.Originally I though the compact flash is bad. Great card reader at a great price! I have had ZERO problems with this card reader, been using it heavily for the past week. I use it only for SD cards, so I can't comment on other formats. Unlike the $3 one that I bought on eBay that never worked even when it was new, it actually reads the card when you put it in, which is great.Not sure what's wrong with the other people that reviewed this, I think it's a great piece of hardware at a very affordable price. 03/16/2012
