This battery-operated ride-on train runs on an included 6V NiMH rechargeable battery. Your child will love to take up the role of an engine driver when the train runs on the 19' track. It can also be used in manual mode, so the train can be ridden off the tracks as a foot-to-floor vehicle.     Talking Train Battery-Operated Ride-On 3.3 5 15 15
    Very Dissatisfied My husband purchased this train with excitement, our son who is 16 months had shown interest in trains and thought it would be perfect. Perfect nightmare is what we got. We opened the box, set up the track around our tree and was horrified to find out it needed to be charged 18 hours, before use. 18 HOURS??!?? So okay we thought, worth it since our son will love it. Charged and ready at 4 pm the next day...only to find after our son waited most of the day to be able to use it, none of the sounds worked and the train only worked in reverse!I do not really want to give this product 1 star, waste of time and money.... 01/09/2010
    Not worth the money $$ - We got this train for Christmas 2009. By Feb. 2010 we were having problems. I contacted the company who asked for specs on the train... they wanted to know the voltage, no biggie. They sent a new battery and then again in June 2010 we were back to the same old problems. By July 2010, it's nothing more than a push toy. Battery won't hold a charge and I do not want to dump any more money into it. Battery replacements are $30 plus shipping and this does not work with power wheel batteries or any that you can buy in the store. Very disappoint and will not buy anything from national products again. 07/18/2010
    DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY This train is cute and my son loved it....until the problems started. We had only had it a few months when all the sound stopped working, then the train suddenly would only work in reverse and would not go forward. Then the charger stopped working. I contacted the company and they said even though it was still under warranty they do not ever replace the train. They will only refer you to a shop where you take it in to get it repaired and there are only 8 repair shops in all of California. the closest one to me is 3 hours away!! They said I'd have to pay for replacement parts. Absolutely terrible customer service for such an expensive toy. No help at all. When my son goes to bed tonight this train will be going in the trash. What a disappointment for me AND my son. Don't waste your money. 06/09/2010
    Son likes it! We purchased this item for our son for his first Birthday. He is still young for the little train so we assist him in pushing the petal & asure his safety while riding it. He seems VERY happy & will grow into the train just fine! I would buy this item again! 05/24/2010
