Overview- After shopping around in other local superstores for a small but affordable black TV stand i settled on this product from Walmart.com alittle over a month ago. I was a tad concerned after reading the reviews, but I took the risk and bought it anyway. It arrived quickly (with standard shipping). All pieces were there and the doors were NOT broken. It was easy to put together. From Beginning to end it took around an hour and a half to move my electronics. move/disassemble existing furnature, assemble the new stand, and hook up my electronics again. its sturdy and serves its purpose well- for under $50 its the best you will findValue- In the market of non-cart-style TV stands under $60 this and the larger version are the creme of the crop.Features- the open area under the top teir's open back makes cord maintnence a breeze however the stand is lacking in storage if you have alot of electronics to store. So if you have a Cable box, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, Dvd/blu ray player. Ipod dock or Audio reciever, and games/dvds etc all at once this stand is not for youAesthetics- I'll be honest it isn't anything remarkable, And if you are looking for a style defining statement peice in your decour this isnt it. It is basic and functional .end statement. The finish is a pitch black wood grain which can hardly be seen from a distance, appering to be a kinda glossy black in bright light. the doors are infact a thin semi transparent plastic. . . . Speaking of the doors; that is the only thing that makes this product show its price. 11/14/2010
Nice TV stand - BUT..... Look at all the stands on the web site, thought that this one was the best fit for our needs. Read the description carefully, looked at the picture. When it arrived, quite promptly, the package was in good shape. Unboxed the pieces and counted, everything was there. However, was unpleasantly surprised to find that the doors turned out to be PLASTIC. Just thin, shiny black plastic. Nowhere in the description does it say anything about the doors. Only saw them in the picture. Not at all what we were expecting. We opted to leave the doors off, will be looking for some wicker baskets to set inside to cover the holes in the back for the wiring. this TV stand is great for a plasma tv! it fits all the accessories and has a place to hide the DVDs and playstation! I am very happy with this, it matches everything. 02/09/2010
Fits my 40″ Toshiba Regza perfectly! Sturdy design, fits my 40 inch Toshiba Regza HDTV perfectly. Easy to assemble. My only complaint (and this is a very small one) is that the doors appear to be glass in the picture, but they are made of black plastic. Can't complain for the price, though. 05/22/2010
