Rated 1 out of 5 by irvineca do not buy Sound stopped working after 2 weeks. It's slower than my 4 year old tomtom. My second tomtom broke after 1 year. This is my third and last tomtom. 12/23/2012

I eagerly waited for the new 2000 series receivers to come out and ordered mine as soon as they were available for purchase.The list of features for this device was very attractive. I was excited when it arrived. It was very well packaged and I couldn't wait to get it installed. When I started using it, I knew I would like it.I was a little taken back when I learned that my new device would not link and sync because of software still being developed. It seems that some of the features and the ability to customize the device are still in development.I am glad that Tom Tom released this series of devices when they did, but it would have been nice to know it was not fully functional when I purchased it. I think that when all the features are operational and I can customize my device, I will love and be thrilled with it. I hope that happens soon... 08/02/2011
Rated 2 out of 5 Hmm, flawed The fact that POI's don't display an address is a serious flaw for one of TomTom's best units. Let's say you're in an unfamiliar town meeting a friend at XYZ restaurant. Search POI's by name, and if there are five XYZ restaurants, there is no way to tell if a location is in Fort Worth, Dallas, or Arlington. Disappointing, even the entry level TomTom's will display an address. Who forgets a basic feature on a top of the line device?Also, when speaking street names, does the 2435 really need to say "I-45 North, Interstate 45 North, State Highway 75, State Highway 190"?I like several aspects of the 2435, but the POI address issue is probably reason enough to return it. 06/04/2011
