    The new, high-speed T-Fal Vitesse Electric Kettle employs 1,750 watts of electric power to bring 1 cup of cold water to a rolling boil in one minute.     Faster than a microwave

    I bought an older version of this about a year ago for work (hot water for tea and instant soup) and it has worked flawlessly. Was so happy with it, that i bought one for home this year when my wife complained about the tea kettle for the stove was so sloooow and the microwave wasn't much quicker at boiling water. If you only put the amount of water in that you need (usually around the bottom line = 0.7L or 3 cups), it will heat up very very fast. Obviously, if you try to heat up the whole 1.7L at once, it will take a while. It is noisy, but only for a short time while it is boiling. It shuts off by itself, or if you pick it up before it is done, a button on the handle will shut it off (the button is where you grab the handle, so it shuts off just by the action of grabbing the handle). I've used many kettles over the years in the office and this is by far the best. A new feature in this model is the heat adjuster, which stops at a lower temperature than boiling. I guess this is useful for green teas, or if you don't want the water quite so hot. I never use this feature, so i can't comment on it.

    i like hot cocoa, and tea, and i am not one of those people who likes to scald myself. its just perfect for me because i can use the lower heat setting to heat the water just the way i like it- not too hot.

    Overall very pleased with this kettle. Love the feature of being able to adjust how hot I want the water to be. If I had one slight complaint is that the on/off switch can easily be accidentally pushed on as it's so near to the top if you are opening the lid of the kettle.

The manufacturer warrants this product to be defect free in material and workmanship for a period of one year from the date of purchase. Defective products may be returned by the original purchaser or any subsequent owner within the warranty period, postage pre-paid together with proof of purchase (register receipt) to an authorized T-fal return facility. If product is returned without proof of purchase it will be reviewed based on the manufacturing production week and year to determine warranty coverage. Defective products will be replaced at no charge including return postage if it falls within the warranty timeframe.
