When you turn off in the middle of a movie and you turn dvd back on it will start from the beginning. You have to keep dvd plugged in at all time, does not have rechargeable battery. I would note that the cable from the cigarette lighter to the DVD player just barely reached and the cable connecting both monitors was long enough. Would have been nicer if the cables were a few feet longer so that I could have been able to tuck the cables out of sight. With my kids around, I just have to watch out since the cables are dangling all over the place. Other than that, this product is perfect in keeping my kiddos occupied. 12/07/2012
