Silver Swivel TV Stand, for TVs up to 44" 4.4 5 12 14
Great swivel tv stand I love this stand; I am 60 and had it put together in 1-1/2 hrs; only needed a screw driver; it was easy to handle; it is very sturdy; my living room is 25 x 25 and now we can see the tv from all seating in the room; it doesn't take up a lot of space; color is like a matte silver, nor shiny silver as in picture; goes with my cable box and dvd/vcr as far as color; it matches; I have a 46" Sony Bravia on it; weights 44 lbs; and the stand is very sturdy, even when swiveling it; the tv is 44" wide so the screen hangs over by a couple of inches; but the base is very much smaller; doesn't tip; a very sturdy product and looks terrific. Very happy with this and so is my husband. Ordered it for his birthday and it came Fed Ex in 4 days. I absolutely love it. It swivels quite far, depending how you place it; and the swivel base has 8 sturdy rollers. Was concerned about the size of my tv but it is very solid and sturdy and looks great with the 46" tv. 01/24/2010
Glad I read reviews and listened I was worried about buying furniture online, since I prefer to see it in person to feel the texture and see what the color *really* looks like. The reviews for this stand were very positive, so I went for it. So happy I did!The box was extremely heavy, and since we were putting this on the second floor, we opened the box downstairs and took up the pieces in multiple trips. The two frosted glass shelves were the biggest weight culprit, otherwise it wasn't too bad. (The shelves are frosted on only one side, so you can choose which finish you want showing when installed.)The instructions were about 90% clear, with one part obscured by the angle of the drawing. We couldn't tell which side went up, but when we worked on the other side of the stand, it became obvious we had the first side wrong. An easy fix.Aside from that, the instructions--mostly just drawings, not text--were decent enough. The actual putting together went quickly, as the pieces were well-marked and fit together well. It took two of us under half an hour to completely assemble. We have put together many, many pieces of furniture over the years, though, so have lots of experience. One person could probably put it together, but it might be a little more awkward and take more time. The color of the stand is a lot like that of "satin pewter" door knobs/drawer pulls. It's silvery, but not shiny. Muted yet metallic. We have a 46" Samsung TV on this, and the screen hangs over the edges just a little. The base that came with the TV has maybe 6" of room on each side. The swivel feature is awesome. It turns maybe a third of the way to 90 degrees, both left and right. (I wasn't a math major, so that's as accurate as I can get.)When you look front-on (like you were watching TV), the two wide supports on the front hide shelves behind them. They aren't huge, but the height is adjustable so you can make two or three shelves (or one, if you didn't put anything in). Wii games fit perfectly. Box set DVDs were ok, too, but depending on how many discs are in the package, you can't fit many in there. Videotaps also fit, maybe 6 or so per shelf. If I were furnishing a high-end room, would I buy this? No. Overall, I'd say the piece is slightly higher quality than "first apartment" but I would be proud to show it off to friends. The price was very fair and I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to step it up from white or faux-wood particleboard/MDF. 03/24/2011
nice tv stand and easy to assemble The silver swivel entertainment stand is great. I haven't used it yet but when I do I'm sure I will love it. The product is somewhat like a pewter color that matches the bronzed nickel on my bed. The instruction manual had all visual directions instead of written. It was easy to assemble the stand but I would advise people to pay close attention to the instructions. All in all worth your money! 01/17/2010
Functional and looks good Only had product for a few days now.Easy to put together and is functions well. The swivel part works well. The glass shelves look nice.It looks more like silver color paint not what metal looks like...flat in color not shinySeems small when you get it home than in picture.Overall seems good. It seems a bit pricey but i needed a specific height so I did not have too many options. 08/12/2009
