It works:-) I bought this for my 5 1/2 year old,an she is 46 inches tall an she is about 47 pounds, she is very tall an skinny, but this Med size doesn't fit tall kids, so she can't wear the belt that goes between her legs, it's not long enough.. So if your kid is this size your better off getting the large if you can find it, walmart only sells small an med... It's not coast guard approved. It looks like it will last, an my daughter loves it, wish they had more of a sellection for the colors, you know girls an boys colors... The foam peices come out easy with not to much trouble at all, an it comes with direction on when to take one or two out at a time.. Its small so it can fit in only beach bag or backpack I liked that... Over All I think its a great item, an if your looking for something to help your child take that leap of fair we all had to do at one time to learn to swim this is the right item for you.... 07/23/2011
Great Confidence Booster!! My 3 year old (soon to be 4) wore this for the first time a couple weeks ago. When we got in the pool she made me hold her hands, still very timid and afraid of the water. By the time we were done swimming she was pushing me away and made me go to the deep end of the pool so she could show me how far she could swim!! She loves it and it's made her love swimming so much!! So glad we bought it!! We bought the medium which I believe it said 33 Lbs - 40 something lbs. She's on the small side and it's plenty tight on her right now. She's probably around 33lbs. It has straps that you can loosen very easily to let it out when she grows. No regrets with this purchase, I would definitely recommend!! 06/29/2011
Great training aid I bought the larger size at a rummage sale for my son. He loved it so much I had to find the size for his little sister! She enjoys having the mobility to swim around without the "bubble" strap moving up to her armpits. Just wish the that crotch strap had a little more variability velcro-wise (daughter is petite, so it's pulled as far as I can to still have the velcro work). 05/15/2010
