Rated 4 out of 5 by MeganS I have been using Ash Blonde for several months and get tons of compliments, even from friends who spend tons on their color at salons which I simply don't have time in my schedule for. My hair is normally light to medium brown with a few highlights. I wanted to go lighter and this was a great shade. It kept the dimension of the the highlights I already had but now they compliment the ash blonde color I have, and so I no longer add additional highlights. My hair comes out a bit darker than the box but it's great overall. I use the conditioner for the first couple of weeks, then buy a very moisturizing conditioner for everyday use. Shiny, great color (no brass and no yellow) and very soft. Will keep using it. And now that I have been doing it once every 5 weeks for the past 4 months or so, the color is gradually making its way to the box color more and more, but still has variants in it to look more natural. 05/07/2013

I have been dying my hair at home for a long time and every time I tried to get blonde to adhere to my natural blonde roots it looks dark there and my ends were bleach blonde! It was awful. I finally tried this shade and it evened every thing out beautifully! The shade is just gorgeous! I will be stocking up 05/02/2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Cee Cee This product does not cover gray at all. I could not find the medium ash blonde I use in another product, so I bought Preference instead. There is nothing "superior" about it. I left the color in for the full 25 minutes as I do with my usual product. I rinsed with lukewarm water and conditioned with the included conditioner - all as per the instructions. No gray coverage! It made my white roots look slightly darker gray, but that is all. Never again will I buy L'Oreal hair color. I will attempt to find my previous product again, or I will try another brand, but not Preference! 04/27/2013
