Calling anything a "shed" that can't hold a couple bicycles and a lawn mower may be a stretch, but for the price this unit will hold quite a lot of smaller items and is larger than almost all other vertical sheds in its price range. Think of it as a large outdoor closet.It assembled easily, no issues at all. I did use a helper which many people say makes all the difference in ease of assembly. Pay attention to lining the panels up at an angle and the moving them up to vertical rather than trying to snap them in front directly above. Otherwise just follow the simple directions and this should be a 30 to 60 minute project. Note that there are similar Suncast shed models that are NOT as easy to assemble as this one.Because it's "portable" (you can move it around) rather than "fixed" like a traditional shed that's anchored to the ground as a permanent structure, you can avoid having to pull a permit. If you call your local zoning department or HOA, just make sure you call it a "vertical storage unit", as the moment you say "shed" you may get a canned "NO" response.For me, I needed a vertical shed rather than horizontal to fit my space. I looked at dozens of sheds of all types and brands. For the price vs. amount of storage vs. ease of assembly, I think this was the best choice currently out there. With sales tax it met the 6 months no payments no interest threshold so I get to use it all summer long before I even have to pay for it.The manufacturer's website should answer all your questions about assembly, interior, and exterior dimensions. There is also information in the instruction manual regarding adding wood shelving. Rated 1 out of 5 by ryarr Horrible Purchase The item arrived as scheduled, but when we got it home and opened the box - there was no hardware. I drove to a hardware store to try and find something to make it work, but no one had screws large enough. So, I wasted three hours of my only day off on this thing, only to have to return it to the store.And, to make matters better, the woman at the return counter said I was the second person to return this shed for the same reason. Buyer beware. 04/26/2013
