However, the lid is not flushed against the lower part of the box which would allow insects and small critters to enter the box. When someone sits on one end, the other end is completely off, i.e., not flushed at all. My only solution is to put something heavy on noth sides of the lid when I store my pillows, patio supplies, and patio furniture covers to prevent any critters getting into the box. 06/26/2011
Rated 3 out of 5 This storage box was easy to snap together. The deck storage box was easy to snap together, and the instructions were adequate. It is not as sturdy as I though it would be, nor as well made. It is a big plastic storage box. Using hard plastic bolts and nuts to put it together would have make this a more durable storage box. Sitting on the lit is somewhat iffy, just don't do it if you weight over 150 pounds. The size of the box means it will hold many deck related items, e.g., lawn chairs, pillows, spare golf clubs, etc. Just don't try and stuff it full. Careful storage and you will be okay. 06/24/2011

It is a little high for a bench and comes in pieces in a box that you have to put together. I'm hoping that it will hold up in the elements out around the pool. 06/21/2011

This deck box left us wishing we had spent a bit more and got something else.It appears flimsy but with the moulded supports in the lid and bottom, when put together there is strength enough for two light people to sit on top. ALTHOUGH when filled with cushions that measure smaller than the box interior does, the box twists a bit and you have to tug on the walls of the box to get the lid to close completely. No latch, we knew this but you need a latch to hold the lid in place. If you cant keep this lid in place, your items will get wet. If anything leans against the flimsy walls the unit will twist and without a latch the lid fights it's way off back to the twisted position. I should have paid attention to the reviews and saved myself the loss of 35.00 postage. 06/20/2011
