Rated 5 out of 5★ by DeeDee7012 Great Tiller At my age I needed something to tackle an entire backyard that I have avoided for 3 years by doing small cosmetic projects, when I knew a DRASTIC amount of work was needed. I have soil that is as hard as rock here in AZ. I initially gave my yard a good soaking and waited for a few hours for some of the water to soak into the soil. In just an hour or so I had completed just about half of my yard with the this Snow Joe Tiller, which I knew very well with just a pick axe and a shovel would have been days, along with an extremely sore back and arms. For me this equipment is a life saver. I can now pave my yard and put in the plants that I so despertately wanted to do for years. 06/02/2014

Rated 3 out of 5★ by MsKarz Had to return it 'coz the handles were loose. Tillers have a very helpful functions when making beds in your lawn. I would definitely recommend a friend getting this machine for bed making without grass. The circumference of the propellers are average home-use and did not work-out very well in my lawn. Why? because I did not use a sod cutter tool to remove my bermuda grass that has very deep roots prior to tilling the soil. And when I tried to directly till the soil-up, the grass' roots can't be reached down by the propellers. I'd like to have a tiller that has bigger propellers to till the soil down to the very deep and remove the necessary roots' plants/grass for a healthier and less maintenance beds because renting a sod-cutter machine is quite a price. I had to return my tiller 'coz the pre-assembled handles were loose and it looks to me like the thread of the screws which is holding the handles against the iron bars are damaged/cracked and with continued use/long term use of the machine, the way the machine is being control when on-use, there is a heavy pressure on the handles to maneuver the machine so the handles will inevitably break eventually. I have thought of exchanging it to a same model but with a better handles because tiller is a very good help to me and I had my unit for a discounted price, but I just realized that it's better that i'll just order a unit that has bigger propellers. In general, this is a good performing machine and a decent size for home use. 11/17/2013
Rated 5 out of 5 Took a little learning, doing good now It would have helped if there was a review on how to till with the unit, different depths of tilling, etc. 05/31/2014
