That will depend upon how much everyone weighs. I am sure your Lab would rather have the whole front to himself. I would not want more than 2 people if the Lab is to have enough room. You will want 17 feet for 3 people and a large dog.

I wouldn&#39;t take my dog with three people in the canoe. Anything could happen in the canoe with three people but if you do you should be wearing life jackets and one for the dog.

Don&#39;t know about your color choice. Mine is blue. No room to store paddles under seats. There are two paddle holders starboard midships but only will hold aluminum handles not wood.

I purchased this canoe in Hazelnut because when you are out on the lake it&#39;s easier for other boaters to see you, also you should buy a safety flag &amp; air horn if you are canoeing on large lakes where power boats are. The canoe has paddle holders so you don&#39;t have to put them on the floor.

I like this boat. It is light weight and very strong. Good build quality! have tried once and it is fast and east to ride.

The canoe boat is solid built and light weight.

After much research I settled on the Sundolphin 14 ft square stern canoe for my fishing boat choice.  Thought through many different kayaks and canoes...the final decision was made with the grandkids in mind. 8 and 11 yr olds both are interested in fishing with Pop Pop...so needed one with capacity to take them along.  The offering from Walmart was by far the best deal...at least $100 below next lowest. Shipping a great value at $9.99.  This was for freight on a 14 ft long 84 lb item. Unbelievable.  Delivery was 10 days earlier than first estimate. Delivery agent was first class...plenty of advance notice.  Completely satisfied with this entire experience.

Sundolphin scout square stern 14 ft canoe

For the price you can't beat it. I've had it in the water a couple of times now and it moves out smoothy and construction seems solid. The "cooler" has no insulation but serves the purpose. I've not had the opportunity to put my trolling motor on it but don't expect any issues. A few scratches from shipping but I'm sure I'll add more.

Bought the canoe after reading reviews and limiting those to my budget. I didnt want to spend $700 -$800 and this was a perfect price. Its stable and the compartments are a great feature as well as rod holders. I have fished from it twice without difficulty and even taken the dog . The seats are countoured and are comfortable. I bought the flat back because I plan to add a trollong motor at one point. If I had to pick one downside Its a little heavy but thats probably why its more stable in the water. If your looking for a good canoe for less than $500 which are are hard to find used at that price then I would definitely buy. Hope that helps .

Excellent canoe for the price

Always loved to wade the rivers and fish.But now that iam getting older. I look like a wounded duck with 1 wing trying to fly..I finally had to break down and buy a canoe. And I love it.You cant beat the price. It is light weight easy to handle. Built for the rivers. Plenty of room. Cant wait to load it up with my tent fishing rod and so on and take a 3 day float down the river.So if your getting older and have trouble doing what you love to do. You might want to check this canoe out.And the best thing about this canoe is I can place my trolling motor on the back and more time for fishing.Good luck fishing and most of all enjoy yourself while you can.

51 and getting older

Took out for maiden cruise yesterday.     Meets description.  Being alone, I was surprised how fast it glided through the water.  Relatively easy to handle given the weight.  Would be easier for one person to hoist onto a rack if there were handles on the inside at the middle seat.  If you travel alone, recommend long (203 cm) telescopic kayak paddles.  Makes it easier to keep canoe on track.

Great Recreation Canoe

I used this on a calm river trip with an electric motor pushing 40 pounds. It was great to zoom past the kayaker while I appeared to be paddling lightly. I was just using the paddles to steer. It is NOT a Grumman. For what this cost I am quite impressed. I will add some permanent solution to hold the battery box and some cargo netting in case of a spill then I'll try this on a calm ocean day to camp in the 1000 islands section of Florida.

great quality at this price

This is the first time purchase of a canoe....I have been boating for years with power boats but wanted to try canoeing....The canoe is built strong and glides through the water very nice...I also have a 55 trolling motor on the square back that I purchased from Walmart .
The center seat has storage for ice or supplies. I wish the canoe maker would have made the other two seats with storage because there is room in the underneath molded seats, that would have been a better design. It's a little heavy so I purchased a canoe trolley cart which helps me move the canoe.. I am 63 years old so I would recommend this canoe to most healthy baby boomers.
Overall it's a nice canoe for the money.

Great for the money

When I ordered this canoe, I had three considerations: 1) weight, can I "manhandle" this thing into and out of by myself, 2) stability (my wife is not a fan of canoes) and 3) stern design (I want to use an electric trolling motor with it).

Due to light weight (84 lb.), this canoe is easy to drag into and out of the water by myself. Due to the flat bottom, it is a very stable design. The width of the square stern is just enough for my trolling motor to mount , but not so wide as to make it ungainly in the water. As I expected from a light canoe, it does not glide very far, but with a built-in keel, it glides straight and handles well.

Overall, I would say that it is priced well and performs better than expected. Cannot wait until this spring to take it on a river run.

Excellent price/performance ratio.

I have had it out on the water only once , but I am pleased with it so far. I haven't put a motor on it yet but I don't think there will be any problems.

sturdy product so far

Transom is a loooong way from back seat so tough to access trolling motor if you need to lift it out of water!! Walmart did NOT complete their paperwork before shipment so I had a hard time registering canoe.
