Great for the money! Just purchased this product last night. Put it together this morning. Assembly was a breeze even with my daughter and new puppy that like to grab and tear into anything, i had it up in about 20 minutes. i also bought a mainstay mid-back office chair that goes perfectly with it. It's Awesome. A very sturdy, easy to put together desk. It is worth the money!! Doesnt take much to put together, but when screwing in the shelves I really recommend a person to help hold it.It is perfect for a laptop! 08/13/2009
What I expected, Nothing more, Nothing Less I needed a desk that was around 37 inches long and I read a lot of the reviews before buying this one. I have a lot of experience putting together cheap furniture. This one took me around 20 minutes. With this said:1 - Do not expect this to be an investment piece. I had mine shipped to me and it came with a small dent in the desktop. It's particle board. But it's cheap, functional and looks decent. If it matters to you, buy it in the store and check it.2 - The instructions are kinda stupid. The shelves are 7 3/4 inches wide. There are brackets that are screwed into the metal legs that these shelves sit on (step one). This has to be done VERY tightly, ensuring that the brackets are near perfectly parallel to the floor. This is because when you connect the shelves in step two, you have about a 7.5 inch clearance to re-adjust tighten those brackets. Given that my good screwdriver is 9.5 inches long not counting the added length from the screw, this make maneuvering challenging and frustrating. Also the screws must go in perfectly or they won't.3 - Put this together out of order for an easier assembly. Step 1, Step 3, Step 4, Step 2 (middle shelf then bottom shelf). When you use a hand screwdriver to connect the shelves to the brackets, you have less than half an inch distance between your hand and the leg to screw them together. Basically, expect your knuckles to rub against the legs multiple times. When connecting the legs to the table-top, put all the screws into place before you actually start to screw them in.4 - The black table top really does give off black paint. I did a quick run-down with a paper towel and now it is fine.Overall it is Exactly what I expected and I'm very happy. One thing to note is that the area under the desk for your chair is 23.75 inches wide. So if you have a wider chair, it may be a very snug fit to store it underneath. 09/17/2010
Loved it We bought this for my daughters room and she loved it.She was able to put all her stuff on it and also picked up some cool organizers when we were there too.It also fit perfectly in her closet, we got it for only $27! Sorry my pictures don't really show how well the desk looks.Looks way better in person. 11/08/2010
