Straight Talk Nokia E-5 GSM Smartphone 3.9 5 103 112
Great Cell phone! The Nokia E-5 is a great phone. I love it! It's a winner! No regrets! 01/10/2012
Terrible Phone! I bought the Nokia E-5 about a month and a half ago. I have had nothing but problems with it. First of all, the website said it would work in my zip code and it does not work well at all. It freezes up a lot. It takes forever to connect when making a phone call and about 90% of the time it drops the call. Not to mention, it cuts out so I can't understand what the person on the other end is saying and they can't understand what I'm saying. It's so frustrating to have this as my primary phone and most of the time, it won't even work how it's supposed to. I usually end up using my husband's phone after I lose connection on my own. Not only is it terrible for calls, but sometimes it won't even let me reply to a text message, it'll just freeze. To top it all off, the internet is very slow and takes forever to load a page, IF it even loads at all. To sum it all up, this phone is a waste of time, money and energy. I would NOT recommend buying this phone! 03/13/2012
lower price means a GREAT VALUE I bought this Nokia as soon as it was available it seems I paid a higher price ... now it really is a bargain! It is a great phone if you need all the smartphone capabilities. I use joikuspot to tether E5 to my laptop however it does seem slow and phone gets very warm but it works in a pinch. The phone beeps when I receive an email. The web browser is good only hindered by a small screen. It takes great photos and I am sure I haven't used half of the options on the phone but I do like the calendaring, to do list, and fm radio. I enjoy straight talks' phone service plan. I am sure this phone is going to last me a very long time. I also want to say if this is out of your price range I would like also recommend all Samsung brands . . . my last samsung phone $80 was excellent and the only reason I switch was to be able to tether my laptop on occasion. 05/09/2012
Great Phone, Excellent Service, Save Money!!! I really LOVE THIS PHONE!!! I was a loyal AT&T customer for almost six years. I finally decided to switch to StraightTalk after getting fed up with AT&T and their outrageous monthly phone bills. I originally bought this StraightTalk phone for myself in mid-March 2012, after deciding to dump AT&T...and I liked the phone (and the service provided by StraightTalk) so much I then bought the same phone for my son a month later. He lives in another state so I had the phone shipped to a Walmart store near his location...which worked out great.I also GOT TO KEEP MY PHONE NUMBER when I made the switch from AT&T to StraightTalk -- which was GREAT because I've had the same cell phone number for nearly six years, and I didn't relish the thought of having to memorize a new phone number and the hassle of notifying friends, family, businesses, etc., about a new number. The process turned out to be relatively easy. I called StraightTalk customer support to go through the process of having my AT&T cell phone number transferred to my StraightTalk phone...however, you can also do it online at StraightTalk's website.I had a similar Nokia phone when I was with AT&T, but this one weighs less and has a really cool rubber cover that wraps around the phone. The headset (with microphone) is a really nice little extra that came with the phone. It's great not to have to hold the phone up to my ear all the time...I use it extensively when I'm on the phone at home. The phone works great...the sound quality is surprisingly better than when I had AT&T, and I have experienced "zero dropped calls since I switched to StraightTalk." When I had AT&T it was not unusual to average two or three dropped calls every time I talked to someone for more than 15-20 minutes. With AT&T, I also would got cut off anytime I walked over to my kitchen (away from my apartment's windows). With this StraightTalk phone, I can now talk from anywhere in my apartment and NOT experience a dropped call! It's also nice to once again be able to receive E-mail on my cell phone. When I was with AT&T, my E-mail stopped working for some reason and AT&T tech support never could help me resolve the issue. With this Nokia StraightTalk phone, it was SUPER EASY TO SET UP E-MAIL.I wish I had known about StraightTalk two or three years ago. With this phone, and purchasing the six month unlimited plans from Walmart, I will now be SAVING SEVERAL HUNDRED DOLLARS A YEAR over what I was paying for service with AT&T. This is simply the BEST FINANCIAL INVESTMENT I've made in quite some time! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND purchasing this StraightTalk phone and applicable service plans from Walmart!!!The only somewhat negative comment I have to make is that when I first purchased this phone for myself, back in mid-March, it cost $149.88 for the phone, and $29 for an 18-month protection plan. When I ordered the same phone for my son a month later, Walmart had for some strange reason jacked up the price of the phone to $169.88 (and $39 for the 18-month protection plan). At the time, I figured the price had gone up because it was a popular phone and high demand. However, today (3 May), I was on Walmart.com and saw that the phone is now being sold for $148.96!!! What's up with that??? 05/03/2012
