Rated 5 out of 5★ by Amazing phone, fantastic price, fast shipping I bought this phone trying not to expect too much considering the low price. I was very pleasantly surprised. Actually received phone two days earlier than expected. The display is a little smaller than I'm used to but it's fine for me. The display is crisp and clear. Pictures are very good. A flash and front facing camera would have been icing on the cake but for the price who can complain? Reception on the phone is clear and callers are easy to hear. The speaker is plenty loud enough for videos and music to be easily heard. The phone is fast, responsive, and fun to use. It runs Kit Kat smoothly and the battery holds up well. I'm online a lot and would say my usage is pretty heavy and the battery lasts throughout the day. The body of the phone feels sturdy in my hand and definitely does NOT look or feel cheap. I've had two android phones previously that I've rooted and flashed various roms onto so I consider myself a fairly experienced user. I highly recommend this phone to both first time smartphone buyers and longtime smartphone users. 06/14/2014
Rated 4 out of 5★ by Yes it's on Verizon Towers (CDMA-V) Arrived 2 days earlier than expected, and am very happy. Still tooling around with functions and features, but all in all pretty intuitive, and am very glad I waited this long to get a prepaid smartphone. Actually had it connected to wifi before I even got it activated. Best bang for the buck, in my opinion, considering its specs. So far call quality is good, contacts imported via bluetooth easily, it does include a 4gb card and transferring music and pics were also easy for this newbie. Size wise I find it comfy (I've never liked big phones) but large fingers may wish to consider a stylus. I'm still trying to figure out if I can calibrate it for how my fingers touch the screen, but even if I can't I'm still happy, the screen feels more responsive to me than the "i products" I've played with. Will update in a few weeks, but if you're interested, I suggest biting now, I don't see this price lasting. One suggestion for those who haven't used a smartphone before and have a disorderly gmail account, clean up your address book on your pc before importing, you'll be much happier. 06/11/2014
Rated 5 out of 5★ by Great phone at an inexpensive cost I bought this phone after my Straight Talk Samsung Centura started having numerous issues in less than 9 months after purchase. I have owned this phone for 2 weeks and it is definitely an upgrade. The sound is much clearer, the touch keyboard is easier, however, I do tend to hit the period button more often than not when reaching for the space bar. The touch keyboard offers fun smiley faces and other icons but if you have friends like mine with older phones, they don't see the fun smiley faces, instead they get confusing symbols. I love Go Google with the newer Kitkat OS. It works much like Siri on an Iphone. My handsfree bluetooth that I have in the car is working effortlessly with this phone where it would not with the Samsung Centura. I thought it was the bluetooth all this time, now I know it was the phone. For the price, this is a fantastic phone. If you are looking for a silicone cell phone cover, go to Amazon and look up Optimus Zone 2 covers. They fit the Optimus Fuel exactly. I noticed they just started adding the Optimus Fuel to the Zone 2 description as well. 06/25/2014
Rated 4 out of 5★ by Amazing! But auto rotate issue I cannot believe this dual core phone is only $30, amazing!!!Basically it will perform beautifully fast, you literally cannot beat this (At this moment in time)It has the newest Android, KitKat 4.4.3 which is a little different from later version but still good.Speaker volume is good, not too loud though. Good for playing music out loud tooIT USES VERIZION TOWERSONLY USES $45 unlimitedYOU CAN USE AN OLD NUMBER AS LONG AS IT IS STILL ACTIVEScreen is not gorilla glass, it is plastic liquid type thing, which will respond better to touchRuns angry birds, temple run good. Even 3d games but those ones are a little slowBAD NEWS: I think it is because of the Kitkat operating system, but THE AUTO ROTATE STOPS WORKING.(screen will not flip according to the way your holding it, and no games that require it, like temple run 2) The only way to fix is to restart the phone. I bought 2 of these and they both started doing it after a couple days. We will be keeping these phone and hope that when Android releases a new update it fixes it. 06/10/2014
Rated 5 out of 5★ by low cost, fast, small, and to the point look, this is my first smartphone, so im impressed with this optimus fuel phone..before purchasing the phone, many reviews mentioned the speed of the phone, and i have to agree..its responsive and quick, no problems..everything works fine....the phone is smaller then what i was expecting, but maybe that makes it quicker too..the screen is smaller, but you get used to it, and for the price and the speed of the phone it cant really be beat...everything is clear and readable...again, this is my first phone, and if your not expecting the best and latest of everything, you'll be fine with this also comes with a sd card, and you can take pictures right away, or record too...only 1 camera on the rear of the phone..i included a pic and i like the quality of the pic just fine... though...i got a used zte engage 1 gig single core off ebay, and that would lag and just freeze up, but with this phone its been fast, also, if you buy a phone, and it doesnt have a sd card included, some may not allow you to take pics until you insert a sd card..also, i have not activated this phone for a week now, and use it for wifi only so far, so you do not need to activate the phone to reap the wifi benefits off your home'll need to input your network password at home, and your set, and this can also be used on open wifi networks when you are out and about too..i think this a great phone to cut your teeth on, and you can spend hours tinkering with all the menus and options and so can add music and photos and videos to this as link this up to your computer, and you do have to specify an option in the settings to get your computer to 'see' the phone ....small and handy and light, i like it and the price, for a new phone, at 30 bucks, i dont think the price can be beat...i got free shipping cause i spent over 50 bucks total, so again, a nice deal, and its walmart, so you have an option to return it as well, whereas the ebay phone i bought didnt allow this...that is a plus 08/04/2014
Rated 5 out of 5★ by It's a KitKat phone that's dirt cheap. Read on.. I have had this little phone for 3.5 months now..roughly.I got in on the absurdly low introductory price. For 60 dollars it is still a good buy.It has plenty of processing power to run common apps without a hitch. I suspect that for most users that this will be a back-up phone, and the 2GB internal memory and the 4GB micro SD card will be satisfactory. I put a 32GB card in mine as I carry it about a lot of the time and keep grabbing free apps as the various places to get them have "pay for" apps for free. The limited storage space is actually a bonus. You get a very trim version of KitKat w/no appreciable bloatware. In my area, Straight Talk uses Verizon service, which is excellent. My phone now looks like a much higher end model, as I have installed an app launcher and a bunch of custom icons. As a phone, the L34C is a good-great handset. The speaker is way better than it has a right to be, and people tell me that I sound great on their end.Users of high end phones will likely take the screen resolution(480 x 320) and material(it's some sort of polycarbonate/plastic/???) to task, but it has withstood my dropping it repeatedly without harm...and it looks just fine given the small area of real estate.Oh, and since the phone has KitKat, you can ask it basic questions from the home screen when unlocked.."OK, Google...??" It is supposed to have a usable camera* and yep, you can shoot viewable video with .mp4 output. This is not an unqualified rubber stamp of the phone. As noted the screen should be glass, and the resolution isn't fabulous. No 4G LTE, either, but it is killer little Wi-Fi device.*I am nothing if not honest, and I have not even tried the camera. I shoot pics. with a Canon DSLR. The camera is listed as a 3MP unit, and it doesn't seem well received. For 60 beans, LG had to cut somewhere. They made all the right choices in this phone.I took a couple of really awful images that looked much better via the AMOLED screen I viewed them on..Honest! At any rate, they show the phone with a couple of custom added pieces of eye and hand candy(typing on the stock keyboard is not easy with large hands). I have MUCH better pics., but I keep getting a 504 Gateway Timeout..sure, the other images are larger file sizes, but they are both under 300kB. Terribly sorry about that. 10/10/2014
Rated 4 out of 5★ by A Great Phone For The Price! The LG Optimus Fuel is a good phone for the price. It has all the basics and then some. My previous phone was the LG Optimus Extreme. It had a slow single core 800 megahertz processor, which caused it to be sluggish at times. It also had an outdated Android OS (4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich). The LG Optimus Fuel has a dual core 1.2 gigahertz processor and runs the newest Android OS (4.4 Kit Kat). Screen resolution is good and scrolling action is very smooth. I would have gave it five stars but the camera is not too good and there are a few, on rare occasions issues in the Optimus UI but other than that its a great phone and I highly recommend it for the price. 07/17/2014
Rated 5 out of 5★ by Good little phone, but no preloaded GPS Great little phone for 30 bucks. Fast and easy to use. It can be customized too. Only issue so far is that there isnt a preloaded GPS. It does have Google Maps but the navigation part doesn't seem to work. You can download one off the play store. Speakers are LOUD. I may buy a spare while they are still in stock! 08/05/2014
