Storkcraft - Venetian Fixed Side 4-in-1 Convertible Crib, Cherry 7 7
Beautiful crib, but had damages upon opening I LOVE this crib even though I am not able to put it together right now. I just opened the box and was going to put it together today, as I am expecting to deliver in the next two weeks. I carefully took the pieces out and looked them over because on another store website I read reviews and most of the cribs had damage regardless of the brand or style. I am super disappointed because the front facing piece has a noticable crack/chip in one of the slats. If this was on a side or not a front facial piece I would overlook it but its right in the front and also will snag clothing as you lean over to lift out the baby. Also on the back board front facing piece, on the wood carvings on the right side, the last 3 carved diamonds are scuffed and the scuff shows up as white. It is also very noticable. Especially since the crib is in cherry finish. I am attempting to contact storkcraft to find out about replacements or whether I have to box it back up and return to Walmart and reorder online. I dont want to reorder a new one because I am sure that one would be damaged as well. It took 2+ weeks to get so I wont have a crib ready when baby comes home. Very disappointing. Bottom line. Crib is gorgeous BUT all cribs should be packaged better, maybe with thin styrofoam between each piece or something. 03/06/2012
Great looking crib, but horrible building instructions. First off the instructions are printed on the bottom board of the bed (which is kind of strange). When assembling the crib, some pieces didn't match up. Turns out that the pre-printed directions were for another crib. I had to look up the right directions on the manufacturers website after tearing apart what I already had put together. Definitely do not try to tackle this by yourself, it goes smoothly once you have the right directions and an extra pair of hands. 02/21/2012
Beautiful crib! This crib is beautiful, sturdy, and matches our other Storkcraft furniture perfectly. My only complaint is that the wood scratches very easily. Overall, we are satisfied with our purchase and would recommend this crib to others. 10/06/2011
