Rated 4 out of 5 by Mommmaoftwoboys Great for the price, but I have dislikes! I have three dislikes about this bed. First it says that it is either a bunk or two twins. Well we bought this for the two twin option and they are not identical side by side. The bottom bunk headboard and footboard corners are taller than the top bunk. It actually doesn't look horrible and I'm probably the only one who notices it, but it was a visual dissapointment. Next is the top bunk rails. They are pretty short. We have a regular twin mattress on it and there is only about 3 inches of rail sticking above the mattress. This actually works fine for us because like I said the top bunk is on the floor and we put the one rail on for our 3 year old who would fall out of bed serval times a night. Now he sleeps through the night most often. However if/when we convert to a bunk, we may need a thinner mattress for the top. My final complaint is about the assembly. Nothing was labeled, which took a bit of time to get tape and label each of the many pieces. Also some holes did not line up completely, but were easily fixed with a hammer or drill, or just wiggling the screws and boards until the screw found the hole. Still with the assembly issues it took me 3 hours to put both beds together, and this was with a 7 & 3 year old "helping".Now for my likes! 1. The price was right. It was $100 for each twin bed. 2. They are very sturdy. My husband and I lay in bed with the boys and the bed doesn't creek or anything! Remember this is not put together as a bunk. 3. They look very nice with the exception of the corner posts of the bottom bunk being taller. 10/26/2012
