Excellent value I originally started with plastic tubs, then picked up 3 of these. These are very sturdy, they stack very nicely, and they are more space-efficient than the tubs they replaced. I'm so sold on these, I plan to replace all my tubs with these.I believe the design intent of these footlockers is as storage in a garage, shed, or storage facility, and as such they are perfect for that. Great for almost anything you'd want to put in them.There is a lip for your hand to go to pull these short distances, but you can't stand up fully and tote them around that way. So as airport fare, without adapting it, you wouldn't be toting it on its wheels.I don't consider them waterproof, so you'd at least not want them directly in the weather unless it didn't matter that a little moisture got in.Those are caveats, but not negatives to me.I highly recommend these lockers. They're an excellent value for your dollar, and hold up very well.By the way, I took mine halfway across the country on a bus, with no problems but having to move that many (3) by myself. But if I ever do it again---I'm going to add a strap to them so I can stand up fully. 07/17/2010
Rugged and reliable, an excellent value I have several of these in various colors-but the dark blue is my favorite. They are a far better value than any other footlockers I have seen. They are wheeled for easy transport. They have a spot that allows you to put a padlock in for security. They are not totally airtight, but the bottoms are watertight.(They would float if empty). They come in a variety of colors-I just wish they had black or olive drab- for garage storage and for hunting,camping etc. A camo version would be a good idea too.They are great for a college dorm or summer camp. A friend of mine even uses one to haul hefty sports equipment. That's a great testimony for their durability! 08/28/2010
Great for dorm!! These trunks are heavy duty - hold a lot and can double as seating too...just toss a cushion on top! Great value for the price. Can add a padlock for extra security of valuables. 07/03/2010
Great value These trunks are very nice. It's like getting 2 for the price of 1. I used one as a footlocker for my son for scout camp. The tote held everything and then some and was quite sturdy. It has wheels and a built in handle which come in handy if its packed heavy. If you need to pull it for a long distance the wheels are too small and the handle is too low and recessed. Overall, it serves the purpose. 08/24/2010
