    Perfect Playhouse!

After searching high and low for an affordable playhouse, we stumbled upon this one. For the price, I think we got an excellent deal. It was easy to put together and is the perfect size for what we needed! Our 2 year old loves it! We can't keep her out! Perfect playhouse indeed!!

I have a 2 yr old girl and a 4 yr. old boy. They both love to play in the house. It is smaller than I expected and the table is too small for 2 kid's to actually sit and eat. Otherwise- it is a good quality house and affortable.

My wife insisted that our kids (ages 3 and 1) needed a "clubhouse" of some sort, so they looked through what was available and picked this one out because it seemed to be a good value for the money (and also my older daughter likes to clean, so the - not included - broom in the product photo appealed to her). I found the product very easy to assemble, but that's probably because I sat back and watched as my wife put it together. I did assist at one point, but my involvement was minimal. Once assembled, the kids seemed to like it a good deal. They go in it every time we go outside (which is at least once a day). They play in it and do "play house" kind of things. My younger daughter likes the phone since it makes noise, and she likes to open and shut the door since that annoys her older sister. All in all, I suppose it could be slightly less expensive, but it seems solid and the kids like it, so I suppose that makes for a successful product. I do think the broom probably should've come with it (I don't know what makes it "Neat & Tidy" anyway), but that's a small gripe.

    • We have a mini van and needed the back (with the seats folded down) to bring ours home. I don't believe it would fit inside a small car.

    • Definitely will not fit in a car. It only fit in my Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo with the seats folded down and it just fit in there perfectly. Truck would be best. :)

    • The play house comes disassembled but the box is large. It barely fit into my son's Hyundai SUV. I don't think it can fit into a small car. BTW, the box weighs 53 lbs.

Some playhouses have the safety feature (from what I have heard) that once they are put together they can't be taken apart.
    by chas831 4/20/2010
    • Yes this house can be took apart and put back together. I had this house for four years and did this for summer and winter time and it's still very sturdy.

    • It's put together with screws that go into the plastic. You can take them out if need be but I'm not sure how sturdy it woud be after putting it together again.

    • This house screws together and you should be able to just unscrew it. I had the same question because I may want to move it outside later. It doesn't have any special locking screws, etc.

    • yes, it can. Its fairly easy to put together and take apart. my grandson (3 yrs) has it in the living room now and we will move it outside when warmer. We have already taken it apart once to get it out the door!!!

    • I don't see why you can't just unscrew the screws and take apart.
      by DomMoM8/27/2010
Was this answer helpful? (0) (0)
    • You drill pieces together so I'm not sure you would want to take it apart. I could see that if you really needed to you could take it apart and re-drill the screws in a slightly different spot since the plastic is very soft. So yes you could, but I wouldn't

We have very strong winds at times at our house is there anyway this could be anchored so that the wind wont catch it and blow it over.
    by BabyGirlOnTheWayIn09 2/27/2011
    • Possibly. It does have a floor to it. I guess you could make a hole in the floor if you wanted but there are no real anchors on the house itself.
      by Thad312/4/2012
Was this answer helpful? (0) (0)
    • I'm sure if you drilled holes in the plastic floor you could anchor it.
      by CorbinsMom8168/3/2012

    • No there is nothing to anchor this down with. I'm sure you could get creative and find a way to though.

    • I suppose you could, but that would mean putting holes in your playhouse.

    • You could probably drive anchors through the plastic floow into the ground if you wanted to, but in that high if a wind, the roof might come off. The plastic roof is secured with eight self-taping screws into the plastic walls.

    • I don't see any easy way to anchor this to the ground. Perhaps if you have a handyman handy though, he could figure out a way...

    • There are small screw-sized holes in the floor of the playhouse that could be used to bolt it down. I also assume those are for drainage if any water were to get in.

    • It has a plastic bottom, so you could drill a hole through it and put a metal anchor in it or a tie down.
      by tandalync11/20/2011
Was this answer helpful? (1) (0)
    • The plastic can easily be drilled through so it can be anchored to a wood deck.
