Yes it rolls fine on my low burber(sp) type carpet just not as far as on hard surface.

The track has five pieces. Two purple stands support the top green piece that connects to the orange and yellow pieces. Storage could be an issue. I would imagine it would take up the better part of a small closet or 1/3 of a large closet. But the pieces lean up against one another, so I guess it just depends on your preferences.

The track pieces come apart easily, even the two steps come apart from the track. The pieces fit together like a puzzle, no screws required. It doesn't take up too much space when storing.

Never thought about storing it. Mine has been outside for 2 years Still looks good. Has very minimal fading of color

You can easily take it apart & stack it up but it does not fold up.
