This set does state made in china on the packaging.

No, I used one of the smaller plastic bins from his wall toy shelf, or you could buy a $5 canvas bin. They fit in a medium size basket pretty well.

No it does not. It just comes in two separate plastic bags. I would not recommend keeping it stored in these plastic bags. It was easy to find a tote for them or they offer child size grocery carts for purchase.

They are great little accessories, HOWEVER, the amount is just too much. I keep more than half in a box on top of his little kitchen. Otherwise it's a pain to clean up. My 2 yo son has a blast with them though, and it's something my 9 yo step daughter can join in playing with him. He likes pretending to eat the food and cook on his stove. Great purchase overall.

I wish there weren't so many...

My 2 1/2 year old daughter loves this set, purchased it with a kitchen. she plays with it for hours. Dont forget to buy a rubbermais container to put all the pieces in when done playing, though.

This item came with the purchase of the step 2 Kitchen. I would probably not have known to purchase it, but I am very glad it came with the item I purchased. Had I known how much it would be played with I would have ordered it anyhow. I am very pleased with how much attention it has gotten in my daycare.

Great play for toddler

I find this food set to be something that will stand up to the torture that 2 and 3 year old boys can dish out. This will allow them to cook in their new kitchen while I am in the kitchen cooking, letting them learn about cooking and food items in their own space. They are sure to get plenty of use from this set since my family usually gets in the kitchen to cook together. I wish had bought this earlier! Great Item!

This is a great set of toy food for little ones to shop and prepare fabulous meals. The sizes are perfect for toddlers little hands!

Good value. I was surprised that this set came in bags and was not packaged they way I expected it to be ( in it's own box.) It was a gift for my granddaughrers, so we bought 2 decorative plastic tubs to wrap them in, which will serve as storage as well. The food brightly colored with a wide variety of foods included and is just the right size for my 2 1/2 yr old and 5 year old grandaughters' play house and kitchen.

This play food seems to be pretty durable so far. I think the food may vary in texture because I read in a previous review that the bacon and tortilla were made from a rubbery flexible material, but mine is made from a hard solid plastic and i'm afraid my son might crack them in half if he tries to bend them. He has the American plastics Cookin kitchen and some of the food doesn't fit in the pans that came with it, but those pans are VERY TINY. If you have a step2 kitchen the food should fit fine. Other than those minor problems it is a nice set for the price and my son loves it.

Purchased this food pack for play kitchen because it was rated for age 2, still had a few small pieces that need to be removed.  Had some odd foods,  would like to have more basics for learning.  This was only food for play kitchen I could find that said age 2, everything else rated for age 3 is why I picked this one.

The produce is not sized to match other stuff. There is a taco almost the size of a real one and a turkey not much bigger than a golf ball. The backs of many of the pieces are unfinished. The plastic used is thin and pieces are easily smashed. Absolutely too many pieces. Less pieces and high quality would be better.

I got this set for $5 during a sale... I'm so glad I didn't pay a cent more, it isn't worth it. For $5 my son can have a good time destroying them for all I care. When I saw the regular price was $25 I was shocked and feel badly for anyone who paid anything close to that. These items may be usefull for having extra toys, putting in goody bags, or giving to your dog but when you have a turkey, orange, and chocolate chip cookie all the same size it doesn't make for much of a learning experience (see picture, I included a hershey kiss for size comparison). I am saving up for a good set by Melissa and Doug.
