I recently purchased the Step2 Arctic Splash Water Table for my nephews second birthday. I thought what could beat the summer heat and a crabby toddler more than a table full of water and some cute squirt toys? Well this table has out done itself. It is the perfect height for ages 2-4 and can easilly accomedate two splashy youngsters. It has a stackable mountain that is also a slide for the small toys that are included. It also has a water bucket that sits on top of the moutain, and if the bucket is filled with water and put atop the mountain, it has a small drain that acts like a water fall/water slide. The moutain does come apart in sections and can only be placed at one point in the water table, which doesn't seem to bother the kids. We have also found some ocean themed bath toys that go down the "water slide" to make it even more fun. I have 3 of my own children who range from ages 2 to 7 and and they all are a big fan of this toy and play with it endlessly when we visit. I have made the suggestion to take the mountain and bucket into the tub when it gets colder so that the fun may continue year round. All in all a great toy.

My son loves to play with this, I am so glad that I bought it. I literally put it together in about 2 to 3 minutes without reading the instructions. The animals that come with it are not that great but my son puts all of his rocks, cars, balls and whatever else he can find in it. He uses the "water slide" part as a ramp for his cars to splash in the water!! I think when it gets to cold for him to play in it with water, I am going to buy some play sand and make it into a sand table.

Is there enough room for 4 kids to play with it at the same time?
    by an anonymous customer 5/30/2009
    • Probably, if you added enough toys to it, to keep them all busy. I would suggest checking about the table that is a water/sand table combo. It looks a little longer.

    • My son 5.5yrs and my daughter 4yrs each will stand or use seats to sit @ different sides of the table "comfortably", my guess is 3toddlers all 3yrs old will still be ok but 4 maybe a bit crowded! But then, i guess with sharing all's possible :)

    • Absolutely. I would just include more cups or other small floatable objects so all kids have something to play with at all times.

    • Three toddlers would probably work better, but four might work depending on how well they play closely together.

    • I believe so, and have a really good time at it when they creative, like toddlers do.

    • I would say that no more than 3 toddlers would be able to play at the table together.

I was wondering if this table has a drain hole in either side to drain the water? Thanks!
    by CJL626 6/1/2011
    • Nope. You just have to dump it out. Not a big deal.

    • I have the older model, not the arctic, and it does NOT have a drain hole, but I dont find that its a problem to just dump it over when my son is done playing.

    • No. No drain hole, but it is not too heavy to tip over and dump out the water, even when full.

    • No drain hole in this table but even with my health issues, I have no trouble tipping it over and letting the water drain out.

    • No drain holes but it is easy to tip it and pour the water out. It doesn't hold too much water but enough for the kids.
