My 16 month old son loves this climber. His cousins and friends love it too! No more rocking him to sleep at night because after a day of playing with this he is pooped. It was very easy to assemble and very sturdy!

We got this for our 16-month-old for Christmas, and his eyes lit up the moment he saw it! SO easy to assemble! Small enough to fit in the house but big enough to grow with him for at least the next couple of years! Basketball goal is almost out of his reach right now, but he can still slide the balls into it. We're VERY happy with this purchase!

I bought this slide for my 18mth old for Christmas and she loves it! My daughter had open heart surgery at 8mths old and had to recover for a long time so she was delayed in walking. I wanted to get a small slide that was easy for her to practice going up and down. The first time down the slide she went head first into the carpeting but after a while she got the hang of it. The slope is high enough that she gets the "slide" feeling, but short enough not to get hurt. The set up was fairly easy, mom did it by myself! I read a review that suggested WD40 to help the pieces fit together...and that worked great. The slide is in the living room our apartment and it does not take up much space. I am very happy overall with this product, Wal-Mart satisfies once again.

    • That's exactly how I did it. Make sure you put the screws in before moving it or it will fall apart.

    • I put it together in my home office and then put it in the back seat of the car to take to birthday party with no problem. It would not be easy to take apart but it fits easily through a doorway.

    • Yes and no... You can if you don't use the four screws that secures the slide and rock climbing steps. I use mine for indoor use only.

    • It has screws so I wouldn't recommend this if you're wanting something to bring in and out. It's not that heavy and fits through our door. You could carry it in and out, but not take it apart to bring it in and out. That would be a pain, IMO.

Daughter is 2 1/2 but she is big for her age. She is 47 lbs and about 40 inches tall. I don't want to buy something she will be to big for.
    by mtalmadge 2/1/2013
    • I think you'd be better off getting something bigger for her. My daughter is 25 lbs and 34 inches tall and it's just right for her.

    • Your daughter may be able to play on the slide for about a year. My husband purchased this sports climber two weeks ago, and it is very small and compact. My son is going to be 3 in a few weeks and he definitely will be to tall for the slide next year. However, I am expecting twins and the twins will be able to use the climber after my 2 year old out grows it.

    • My son is 16mts, 24 lbs, 32 in tall and it is perfect for him....I'd say it would work for her for a short time but she would outgrow it soon.

    • Even though the weight limit for this product is 60 lbs, She's taller in length than the slide itself which is 35 inches long. Therefore, I wouldn't purchase this climber for her. Additionally, the basketball hoop wouldn't be a challenge since she's taller than the hoop itself. She really needs an outdoor climber that's bigger in size.

    • I'm guessing they are both the same model but the higher model number is newer and has some small changes. Not sure what are those changes though. If you try to search for those model number in step2 website. It will give you the same result which has the product number 834600. So I am also guessing they already discontinued the 781800. Though some store might still have it and might still selling it.
